“NOT UP TO BEST WESTERN STANDARDS”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed December 1, 2013

The bed was EXTREMELY uncomfortable, no tissues in the tissue holder in the bathroom and no coffee filter holder to make coffee. The dining room would only seat 15-20. Otherwise you had to stand or take your food up to your room. If I was paying $69-79.00 I would not have anything to complain about but when you are paying $117.00 with tax etc to total $126.00 for one king room, you expect better than that.

Decent hotel for nothing in the area! Clean. Quiet. Updated. Breakfast not very good. Starbucks and Denny's nearby. Interent SLOOOOOOW! Expensive for what you get. But, if you need a hotel 1/2 way between LA and Napa, this is a decent choice. Staff friendly. My biggest issue was the price per night.

A great stop-over from Arizona to No. California. Very clean, great service, easy access from HWY 5, a hot breakfast with a good selection, very nice employees and parking right in front of your door. Believe me, we'll be back!!

We stopped in Kettleman City without reservations and were pleased to get a room at this hotel. The experience was most pleasant. Very modern rooms, quiet, great breakfast. Would recommend this hotel in a minute. Becky made our check-in easy and accommodating, she was a great help.

Room Tip: very close to a Denny's restaurant so we could eat early and get a good nights rest before a lon...

The room was clean but dated decor. My biggest issue were the carts that housekeeping used were pushed across the stamped concrete floor and woke me up before 0800. Apparently the do not disturb sign didn't mean anything

Even though I had no reservation, the management found a room for this tired traveler even though they were booked. It was a great room and the service was exceptional. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone traveling along interstate 5.

We usually stop on drives LA-SF at Harris Ranch Inn, but they were sold out on a recent weekend, and were very pleasantly surprised by and happy with our stay at the Best Western Kettleman City. The rooms and breakfast offered are far better than the average Best Western and better than the arrangement of the buildings may present (the structure is a motel out of a catalog from the 1970s, though they've buttered over it pretty well). It's pretty clear that it's this operator's baby.

Harris Ranch has nicer buildings and restaurants. I used to stop at the cheap flophouses on I-5, but after having a baby, I look for a rock solid room you'd find in a big city even for an overnight rest, and this particular Best Western really hits the spot.

One advantage this hotel has (depending on the wind and temperature) is that was a lot less cow-y (doesn't smell like cow poop) than Harris Ranch. It's also convenient to the Bravo Farms attraction that is going to open someday at Kettleman City.

The only thing I didn't like is that my room looked right into the windows of the building next door (like 40 feet away). They need to plant some screening trees between the buildings. If you need a fitness center, call them, I didn't use it, I'm not sure if they have one or not.

Room Tip: I don't think they have an elevator, so if you can't climb stairs, call ahead for a ground f...
