Description: The Reserve Room takes you on the ultimate wine country tasting journey unlike anything you've experienced in a wine tasting room before! Not only can you taste our reserve label wines, but you are taken on a food and wine adventure with Executive Chef, J. Clayton Lewis! Each guest takes a seat in our comfortable and intimate room where you can enjoy wine-inspired art, a little music and views of the hillside vineyards of Kenwood located just out our window. You are then treated to a seven-course pairing menu that includes seven Mayo Family Reserve wines crafted by Winemaker Michel Berthoud and seven artisian bites created and prepared by Chef J. Clayton Lewis to compliment each wine. The Mayo Family RESERVE ROOM is our opportunity to take you further into the wine and food experience that defines Wine Country.

Wine is passable but overpriced. Small plate lunch was tasty but not satisfying.

“Fabulous Food and Wine Tasting”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 23, 2012

If you are visiting Kenwood, I highly recommend making a reservation for a food and wine pairing. Mayo's wines are incredible and the chef is fantastic. It is a tasting, not a full meal, but still satisfying.

“Glen Ellen weekend”

This is our third year for returning to Mayo. My husband adores their port! We introduced our son and his fiancee to your tastings...we will all be back!

“Canapés more than tapas yet interesting matches”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 19, 2011

Nice service but the tasting room was dominated by a table of loud visitors and voices carry in the sparsely furnished room. It's certainly not a place for atmosphere. Our waiter was interesting and very friendly. The food was good but portions were tiny and they had no bread or bread sticks so you leave needing a meal. The pick of the wines was the Pinot. Overall, for $35 you'd not get much more food but it felt a little expensive just for a "tasting".
