“Luck? Keep it coming...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 6, 2014

So my best man and I were in the Eastern Sierra looking for a good place for my bachelor party. We stayed in Mammoth the first 2 nights and came to June Lake. First stop was at a place in the center of town. The Vacancy sign was by itself (NO not lit up) and we walked in. The "gentleman" at the desk says, "No. we don't have any rooms. You are the third person in the last fifteen minutes to walk in and everywhere is booked. Better hurry." Yeah...thanks for being rude and sending us on our way. We happened to be heading north (or whatever you'd call it) and notice this place on the left and the Vacancy sign seems to show availability. We walk in...the nicest man ever informs us we are in serious luck as they have 1 room for 1 night available. We were looking for a Motel room. We got a Chalet for a night that was fully furnished with more things than we could possibly need. Rate was less than motels with no mini fridge or microwave. The man at the desk chatted with us about the KINGS Stanley Cup Run and we felt right at home as we had watched every single game just as he and his enormous family had. One of his sons turned out to be in college in a town 10 minutes from where I live in northern San Diego County. Water pressure was plentiful, hot water not a problem, stove was a hell of a lot better than using the camping stove in a lake parking lot like we had planned on, and the kitchen's abundance of pots/pans/utensils made me feel like I was in complete control of a meal I've made in extreme wind and darkness before (a.k.a. I made it as good as at home). Stay here if you have a chance. If you have a family, kids of any age, are a couple with no kids, or on a guys trip without friends who get loud and/or obnoxious this place will exceed expectations for the price. If you are looking for glamor, save it for the beaches or wherever else they have HIlton hotels. This place will make you feel like you are far away in a private mountain lodge if you are ready to be consumed with the same obsession John Muir spent a lifetime writing and fantasizing about: The Eastern Sierra Nevada.

Room Tip: A chalet with a kitchen could reasonably sleep 8 adults with the beds, pullout couch, and floor spac...

We were looking to get away for a few days and after reading reviews we booked five days at the Reverse Creek Lodge in June Lake CA.

When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised.

David and his family are awesome hosts, very friendly, we felt very welcome and like family.

We drove to our one bedroom cabin, number 5, and when we walked in, it was awesome, kitchen, dining area, living room with new recliner love seat in front of the fireplace. The view from the picture window was great.

I opened the windows and we could hear water, coming from AZ, that was great. Just outside the window was a small stream, but about 60 feet away was the Reverse Creek and a small water fall, that is what we could hear.

We sat each day out under the trees listening to the water and watching all of the birds.

Back in the cabin we found that the kitchen was well stocked with just about anything one would need.

The king size bed was wonderful and that mattress was awesome.

The cabin has a strong WIFI and cable tv.

The deck outside was in the trees, we sat each day and just relaxed, read, watched the birds, listened to that little water falls. Even used the BBQ grill, the smell of steaks on a grill in the trees, awwww.

We saw deer just a little ways from the cabin.

We asked David what does one do in June Lake and he replied, "nothing" relax.

And that we did.

If you are coming from the south, stop in Bishop and do your grocery shopping. June Lake does have a small grocery store and restaurants if you want to eat out.

This was one of the most relaxing vacations that we have taken in many years.

Thank you Naaden family and Reverse Creek Lodge, you will see us again.

We just returned home from our visit to June Lake/Mammoth. This was my second stay at the Reverse Creek Lodge, and my husband, son and their friends stay here each summer for their yearly fishing trip. This time my brother's family joined us and we stayed in cabins #1 and #2. As always, the owner Mr. Naaden was very friendly and welcoming! The cabins are very cozy, clean, and contained everything we needed for a relaxing stay. There's nothing better than hearing the constant sound of the rushing creek....and we loved the recently added creek side bench. We have deemed this our new yearly family vacation spot and look forward to many more visits!

We had a fantastic stay at the Reverse Creek Lodge over New Years. They were the most affordable in town and our little cabin was everything we needed!

We stayed in cabin 8. It was perfectly clean when we arrived and stocked with everything we needed in the kitchen and bathroom. We cooked every meal at the cabin and it was super cozy to have the gas fireplace on while hanging out in the kitchen. They've got cable tv, wifi in the cabin and a DVD player for entertainment.

The shower had excellent water pressure and heated up quickly. Even though we didn't get to use it, we really liked that there was a bbq out on the deck next to the creek running by.

If I had one suggestion, it would be to replace the armchairs with a sofa. The armchairs are super comfy, but not as friendly if you want to curl up on a couch together and watch a movie or cuddle.

We had a great time and will definitely stay again!

3 -Cs COZY, COMFORTABLE & CLEAN. Very nice cabins. My family really liked the cabin! We stayed in 15/16 and it was well equipped. It is very close to June Mountain skiing. We could walk there it was so close. The only thing is the bottom bunk is not good for someone who is closterphobic. Although we are not complaining. We had 2 bathrooms which were Great for a family of 5. I Highly Recommend these A frames at Reverse Creek Lodge!!!!

My first stay at Reverse Creek. Rented one of the A-frames. Could easily sleep 6 or more in both sides of the cabin. Wonderful spot, with aspens right out the back door; trial leading to creek and neighborhood, great for a walk. Cabins had everything needed for 3 night stay. Very clean, organized. Definitely would recommend, hope to visit again.

We were a bit nervous when we arrived as the cabin looked a bit run down from the outside, and the location wasn't what we had expected(our fault as we should have read the reviews more carefully).

Once inside however, the cabin was spotlessly clean and had all the necessary amenities. Only negative comment we could make would be that the shower tray could do with being replaced, other than that no complaints. Excellent night's sleep, had a chat with the owners in the morning who were friendly and approachable.

Overall would recommend for something a bit different, we had just travelled up from Vegas so a bit of a change!
