The hotel has a great view and was very convenient to the June Lake Loop. I was disappointed that no one offer to help us get our luggage to our second floor room. The stairs ro the second floor were not well lit which made me very nervous since my 87 tear old father was with us. The room was in need of a revamp, including new linens which while clean appeared very old. The kitchen was clean when we arrived but there was no kitchen towels and sponges for doing our dishes. I would probably stay again but probably not with an older parent.

Room Tip: Second floor has a great view but the stairs are a bit difficult for those with less than perfect ey...

Lovely location and the price was reasonsable. The room was fine, but juts a little tired, wall paper coming off the wall behind one bed and the kitchenette was in need also of a bit of revamp, but it was not unpleasant. I would stay there again despite these minor issues. Great views and the resturant over the road is nto to be missed. Hand for visiting Mono Lake and Bodie and possibly better than staying in Lee Vining it's self?

The room was neat and cozy. The kitchen also had utensils just in case. I forgot my cell phone in the room and came back in the night only to see the phone sitting exactly where I left. This was a relief! Though we dint ask for service, they did it. But our things were untouched. Would never forget this incident. They had WiFi too but it was too erratic. Couldn't really serve great purpose. Overall a good place to stay.

Good location, directly on the loop around the lake. A little far from the village ( about 2-3 miles) but still a good choice. A wonderful view to the mountains. A jacuzzi available on the spot. A kitchenette part of the rooms.

Room Tip: I guess all rooms are on the front, but the area is so quiet, you'll surely get to sleep.

We stayed at one of their regular rooms last Thursday, before going out on a pack trip. The room was nice and clean. It had a working fridge and a nice big bathroom. The room looked like it had recently been redone. Our room was directly by the road, but there was no traffic at night so it was no problem at all. We had a reservation for the Sunday night after coming back from the mountains also. Due to me getting sick we came back from our packing trip a day earlier and didn't need the room. They cancelled our reservation without charge!

i was interested in one of their cabins, but none available, but Lori suggested a hotel room - that includes full sized kitchen, sitting room and large bedroom - very functional for a few night stay. disappointed it was not in June Lake Village "proper", misleading web page (i have stayed in the village before, enjoying being able to walk to coffee in AM). this room does need better lighting in kitchen and in sitting room - only one low watt lamp to read from - needs central lighting in this room. water pressure in shower was horrible

Room Tip: the hotel room (127) with full kitchen is at the very far end - away from the stairs on second floor...

I so wanted to rate this motel with more than 2 stars, but I just couldn't. The people that we dealt with were all so nice and friendly, and the locaction absolutely stunning, but there were just too many other problems. Like I said, the location is spectacular. It is on the far end of June Lake township, so it is secluded and the view of the snow capped mountains is beyond beautiful. However, the rooms are in need of some serious TLC. The hotel is definately not a resort. It reminded me of an old washed up movie star. Once great in it's day, but now gone to seed. The interior, while very clean, was straight out of the 1970's, down to the wallpappered walls and green flowered formica countertop in the kitchen. The carpet had holes in it, and the bed...well...lumpy is a kind word for it. The sheets were so old and threadbare that they wouldn't even stay on the bed. The pillows were flat and I woke the next morning with a pinched nerve in my neck. I thought a hot shower would help. The shower had no pressure whatsoever...It was like showering under a garden hose, and the hot water ran out not within 10 minutes. The heat was either too little or baking hot. The t.v. was small, old and had a horrible picture. On top of that the prices were high for what we could've gotten elsewhere in town. I hope that someday, the owners will invewst the time and money this place needs, but until then, we unfortunately have to saty elsewhere....
