This was my second visit and am planning on more. I know nothing about Astronomy but Michael makes the Sky Tours so interesting that I feel like I have had a quality life experience. He not only explains the stars, galaxies, planets etc you are looking at, but also about some interesting historical background of astronomers, instrument development and even on my fourth tour he had new information. I especially enjoy the bits of trivia he always has at the end. By the way, at the beginning, before entering the observatory he takes you across the sky starting with something we all know like the "Big Dipper". We were put at ease knowing he can make even us newbies have an interesting evening. My friend that introduced me to this place is well versed on the subject and has only praise for the quality of the program.
Caroline has a fabulous breakfast that has always been a real gourmet delight. She has the Inn tastefully decorated, extremely clean and well cared for. In my previous employment, I inspected hospitals. Therefore I am always looking at cleanliness of beds, linens, general upkeep, food handling and the shared public areas like the lounge. if I were to give a score it would definately be an "A".
We have always been treated warmly and they seem really happy to see us and ask about our trip up there. I notice that when shopping in town, the shop employees seem to speak highly of Michael and Caroline. The place is so restful, I would be happy to spend a couple of days there, even without the evening experience. One may have interesting nature observations and there is good birding also.
