“Great Italian Food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2012

We decided to go to Romanos since it was right down the street from the Julian Gold Rush Bed and Breakfast. We had Lasagna and pizza. Really good!

“Great food! Great service!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 29, 2012

Great place to sit and relax after walking around Julian. This restaurant is opposite the bird watchers/Rabobank. There's even a parking lot, so parking shouldn't be an issue. We bought a gift certificate before we head over to Julian, so we have good expectations of the place.

The first thing that came was the Antipasto Platter, that has Prosciutto, Salami, Mortadella; Provolone and Fontinellas cheeses; Marinated Mushrooms and Artichokes, Olives and Frittata. It says for two, but it's large! and the taste? GREAT! Especially love the Fritata!

Then, we had the Ravioli and Baked pork chops. I have to mention the pork chops, From the menu, it says the Loin Chops simmered in a Whiskey-Apple Cider-Cream Sauce. OMG! It's so good! Since we're sharing the big portion, we all loved this dish! It's the best! I wish I know how to make the sauce, and can have this dish again soon!

The whole time when we're dining, the waitresses were super nice. The young lady kept asking if she may collect some of the soup plates, or empty bowls politely before taking them away. When we're ready to pay and leave, it took a long time. Later, we were explained that since it's the first time anyone has used the gift certificate at the restaurant, they took a longer time to calculate everything; which was acceptable. The only thing I could complain of the whole experience? They forgot my lemon. but hey, whatever, it's fine. The 18% tips that was required with the gift cert? Totally worth it! Great atmosphere, great food, great service!

“Nice Italian Restaurant”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 15, 2012

Although we did not hear any Italian singers in the background, we really enjoyed our steak and ravioli. They did not have a liquor license at the time but the iced tea was perfect.

“The Best Kept Secret In Town!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 12, 2012

Great Italian Restaurant right down to the checkered table cloths!
Family owned and operated. HUGE portions. Meatballs the size of baseballs!
Pasta cooked to perfection! Decadent homemade desserts!
Live music on Friday nights.
Great place to go!

Did I mention it's inexpensive!
