Villa De Valor is an outstanding bed and breakfast located in the beautiful quaint community of Julian. My husband and I selected this location to celebrate our 6th anniversary on 10/10 - 10/12 and boy are we pleased with our choice! We've traveled fairly extensively, but this was our first B&B. We wanted to find a reasonably priced, but high quality, close to home property. I would recommend anyone to stay at Villa de Valor, but particularly San Diego or nearby residents. What a fabulous and inexpensive road trip to paradise.

The innkeeper, Valorie, is so sweet, sincere and welcoming. She opened her beautiful home to us and made sure that we had everything we wanted to make our stay enjoyable. Valorie arranged for a carriage ride to dinner at the Julian Grille and in room massages, both which we would highly recommend. Her home was so beautifully decorated, we felt as if we stepped back in time to a place of romance and elegance.

We loved Suite Serenity which was private and detached from the main home. The bed was very comfortable with high quality linens and nothing was forgotten in the room, from chocolates on the bedside to luxuriously scented shampoos and lotions. Valorie's breakfasts were scrumptious! She set a lovely table with lacy linens and candles. The dishes and serving containers were dainty antique china that again brought a feeling of dining in an upscale home in the early 1900's. And Valorie is quite the chef serving delicious meals including homemade breads and salsas and a fabulous egg souffle. And of course, there is the visit from the Blue Jays after breakfast.

I recommend visiting Valorie at the Villa de Valor to any couple looking for a luxurious and relaxing escape to a fabulous mountain community.

And while you are in town, enjoy the great wineries nearby.

My husband and I came away to this amazing bed and breakfast for our Honeymoon in Dec 2006. We had no idea what to expect since we had never been to a bed and breakfast before.We had an amazing time and even stayed an extra night because we did not want to leave. The innkeeper, Valorie, was so wonderful and welcoming. We adore her. We also loved all of the intricate details that each room had. Breakfast was delicious and the "granny kitchen" was a treat. We reccomend this place to all of our friends and we reccomend it to you too!!!

For a very relaxing and enchanting time you can't beat a stay at the Villa. Valerie the innkeeper is tremendous, she has everything that you can possibly need in your room. My Wife and i stayed in the Serenity Suite, a beautiful little cottage with the best mattress and bed i have ever slept in. The loft with the 2 windows is great for star gazing and just relaxing. If you need to get away from your hectic life, we highly recommend a stay with Valerie at the Villa, she will take care of you.

Valerie made our stay very memorable with her grace and charm and flexibility in making arrangments for our special day. We originally booked for a weekend getaway and ended up getting married at the Villa De Valor with its romantic charm and restfull ambiance it was a wonderful day. I would recommend a stay here to anyone.
