“great owner”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 4, 2012

we stayed at a different hotel that we hated but we visited this one. The owner was awesome and gave us a tour of the hotel even though we were not staying there. Very nice. Hotel was very clean and well kept. rooms have to television, but provide that old goldmine town feel. Hotel is beautiful. We also ate dinner there and the food was awesome!

“A very good time there!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2012

We went there for my birthday and we had an overall very good meal. We sat outside in the patio which was very nice and quiet. The staff was very good. The main dish was good but we preferred the dessert: the apricot bon bon is delicious! The wines are also very good. I would recommend.

“Food was so so, bread was great so really can't recommend this restaurant...”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed June 24, 2012

I had angle hair pasta with tomatoes and mushrooms in a white wine sauce which was just plain boring. My husband really liked his Cobb salad but my sister commented that her southwest chicken sandwich could have used a tastier dressing and was bland.

Overall I have to say we well not be returning on our next trip to this restaurant when visiting the Pinecrest, CA. area.

“A wonderful experience in a time warp”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 6, 2012

We went to lunch at the National on our way from Lake Tahoe to Yosemite, We went by chance and were amazed at the friendliness of the staff and the quality of the food. A cheesecake unequalled anywhere as dessert. It was like stepping back in time even the music was from the past. A really enjoyable experience.

I eat there weekly during the summer and always enjoy the food there. Great food at a fair price.
