First off, realize that Vinciguerra's is not a restaurant. They make and package homemade authentic ravioli and sauces. We own a vacation home in the area, and we often stop by on our way home to buy a couple of boxes of cheese ravioli and their fantastic marinara sauce. While you are standing outside at the window to do your purchasing, you can see their kitchen equipment, which I always find interesting. Their homemade ravioli come boxed and frozen, so they are ready to put in your freezer when you get home or directly into your RV if you are traveling. The prices are comparable to what you would find in a supermarket, but the quality is so much better!
As I mentioned, the marinara sauce is my favorite along with their delicious cheese ravioli. They chop their tomatoes and other vegetables very finely so the flavors blend beautifully and no one flavor stands out above the others. I like spices, but in moderation. Vinciguerra's knows how to do it right! A nice hint of oregano that doesn't slap you in the face like a poorly done sauce.
You will usually find a seasonal specialty, such as pumpkin ravioli during the holidays.
The owners are friendly and helpful. I've given Vinciguerra's one star on atmosphere and bar scene only because this isn't a restaurant and there is no atmosphere to rate.
This is a great stop if you are traveling the Gold Country in an RV. You will be able to pick up a reasonably priced dinner to cook for the family as long as you realize that you will be doing the cooking.
