My mom, girlfriend, and I just ate dinner here at Capital Seafood. There are two locations in Irvine. We ate at the restaurant located at the Irvine Spectrum at 85 Fortune Drive. The other location's address is listed at the the top of the first page (2700 Alton Parkway) of this review. The atmosphere is good, and it appears to be a clean place to eat. We ordered hot tea and egg drop soup to start. Both tasted fine. For the main meal, we ordered sweet and sour chicken, black bean chicken, and lemon chicken, all with steamed white rice. Again, the food tasted fine. My girlfriend had to ask our waiter for forks (the table only had chopsticks on it), water, and eventually a refill of the water glasses. It seemed that we got better service at a Denny's Restaurant. We had arrived at Capital Seafood at 9:00 p.m., so it was not very busy. It closed at 10:00 p.m. The bill for the three of us came to $62.64. Though the service was substandard, we still left a $7.00 tip. For almost seventy dollars, we could have gone to a nice Chinese buffet and saved a lot of money.
