“If fit the bill when I was stranded at LAX but wouldn't go back...”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 weeks ago

I was stranded at LAX and ended up here after calling 15 places that were all sold out. For $90 a night, I couldn't have expected much more, but it is essentially a past its prime motel with clean but rundown rooms. Rust stains from old fixtures in the shower, worn carpet, sink in the middle of the room. Very nice man at check in who was helpful and efficient. Breakfast the next morning was coffee that didn't work, a jar of frozen waffles with a toaster, and some cereal. Not in a great area either. All of that being said, it was clean, the check in was smooth and it saved me. Wifi worked just fine. Again - it was $90, so I wasn't expecting a whole lot.

Good value for the location. Courtyard parking and elevator make for easy room access and surprising little street noise. Huge rooms. Beds are comfottable, maybe a bit firm for some. Decor plain, but up to date. Bathroom and room were clean, although there were old stains on upholstery. Six sets of towels provided for three beds. Good massaging shower. Could have used a rack in the shower for soap, etc.
Forget the breakfast. Too few choices, low quality, watery coffee. No coffee maker in room either, but there was a fridge.
If you just need a place to sleep near LAX, this place fills the bill at a bargain price.

When I first arrived I thought to myself, "Okay well you read online that it was a rough area, so that's okay". But as the week progressed I was less and less okay with this hotel.

I stayed here for four nights, and they NEVER GOT THE WIFI WORKING. I am an online student and one of the reasons that I chose this hotel was because it had free wifi. Every day I would call and ask when the wifi would be fixed and they would always say they were working with IT. I think it is highly unprofessional to have an issue like that so long.

The "continental" breakfast is a joke. It's just waffles, bread, and juice.

The area really is trashy, as others have said on the website, it's almost scary to go out.

Would not stay here again, don't recommend for anyone. Do your self a favor and spend a little more for a better experience.

If you are traveling with young children or a female only group I HIGHLY advise you to take my advise and DO NOT STAY HERE!!! We booked this room through Expedia because we were looking for a place to stay close to LAX on extremely short notice. We booked it and within the hour arrived at the motel.

A few things we encountered as we made the drive there. Not in the best area and even during the day we felt inclined to constantly look over our shoulder. It was 4pm in the afternoon and the "clientele" congregating around the hotel was sketchy. Call me judgmental but, from the looks of it, the ladies were "for hire" and the few guys we saw walking the streets were not law abiding citizens. I live in Houston TX and I'm not a small town girl afraid of the big city or "bad"/crazy people. But in this case my friend and I choose not to put ourselves in a situation that could have the potential to turn much worse after it got dark outside. It just wasn't worth the risk.

We didn't even enter to room so I cannot comment on the inside, if the wifi actually worked, or what the breakfast was like. They would not honor a refund and we did not put up a fight and used it as a lesson learned to always check TripAdvisor before booking a hotel...even in desperate situations!

Again - you have been warned. You do not want to stay here!

Room Tip: Spend $15 more and stay at the Motel 6 a few miles up the road. A safer option.

If you want a hotel at a reasonable price near LAX, this could be an option for one night. It's located 10 minutes from the airport... Besides that, it's just an average motel in California. One thing that bothered me a lot is the smell of cigarette in the room... because of the carpet, it just can't disappear... The wifi is not that good either. But to be fair, the breakfast was ok (waffle, bread and maple syrup... coffee and juice) and water pressure in the shower was also good. It does the trick if you want to crash one night.

Pleasant staff, clean and comfortable room, elevator available to second floor. Very accessible to
LAX. there was a continental breakfast that was adequate but not elaborate. Try Norma's down the block for hearty food.

Room Tip: Even our room facing street was quite quiet.
