“Terrible. Stay away!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed August 4, 2014 via mobile

Arrived at hotel at 4ham, handed my documents to clerk and they were given right back to me " your reservation was cancelled, you should have received an email" NO we're sorry, NO here's what we can do to assist..... Walked in rain door to door.... All nearby htls sold out....... By miracle, i followed a girl who was re-located at Wingate by her trvl agt. They offered GREAT kindness and understanding in finding a room. Spent 30seconds in Tradewinds lobby and it was disgusting. Cannot imagine the rooms. Avoid this place if u dont want to ruin yr vacation.

Shuttle bus - We waited one hour only to have standing room in the mouse hole.

Customer Service - RUDE housecleaning and no peace. Pipe cleaning and tree cutting at 5am in the morning. We witnessed the hotel manager threaten to call cops on a customer who was innocently asking about a room refund. This customer was not proficient in English, but was polite. The manager was extremely unprofessional and MEAN towards the customer!

Cleanliness - The hotel "lounge" was actually more like eating in a filthy public bathroom.

Food options -- "Free breakfast" is far from a meal if you like one burnt muffin as an option. No lunch or dinner were available.

Marketing - The pictures are a LIE AND VERY MISLEADING! Also, the Wifi was like a roller coaster.

Operations -- The management was exploitative and took advantage of our request to extend our stay by doubling the rate. In addition, we were scammed with the car rental fee -- WHO THE HELL CHARGES $100/day for a suv?!?!?

YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!!!!!

Room Tip: Bottom floor is loud due to the people stomping on the top floor.

Found this hotel from expedia.com . DO NOT STAY HERE, ITS false advertisement. I paid for two queen beds and got a beat up couch, and a hard as rock bed with dirty sheets and hair and some other wierd stuff of on the pillow cases. It has roaches crawling everywhere, the coach is so gross I didn't even want to sit on it. Girls in the front are very rude and don't have any customer service skills what so ever. They charge an additional $35 deposit once you get there and don't tell you bout it till your there. Also they charge for everything in the fridge, my fridge was broken, but they didnt seem to care.

Bottom line stay anywhere else but here. I will also post some actual pics from inside the room I stayed in.

I waited at LAX for 1hr 15 mins to be picked up after calling the hotel. I stood in the area I was directed to and one shuttle actually drove straight past me in the far lane so I had to call them again.
It is more of a hostel than a motel. Rooms are accessed from exterior walkways so if you have the curtains open everyone walking past your room can see straight in.
The room was so dirty I wore my flip flops in the shower.
Pay a little more and stay somewhere better.

We liked: our room was clean, it's comfortable. A suite: two separated rooms (one for kids and one for adults, ¡great!). Fridge (don´t eat anything inside, it is very expensive). Young atmosphere. Nice pool, free popcorn (my kids razed them), free parking (a few places, really, especially if you arrive late and are all busy), welcome drink (glass of champagne or soda, depending on age, a detail), Saurday bbq (if you bought a drink you can eat a free burger, or free hot-dog, or both, and nachos, and cake ...); music on the pool deck ... Anyway, I wish I had known before (it was the 3rd night in Los Angeles and we chose this one for last night because its proximity to the airport). It was funny.

It is true that if you don't like this type of environment (too "backpackers") ... then do not go there (although the music off at 22:00 or 23:00), there are a lot of young people laughing and partying and chatting in the hallways ... but we did not care: we are of good sleep. The room had not air conditioned but did not need it (it was a litlle cold).

The breakfast muffin and coffee / tea is a little "poor" but also have other free options at different times (a small snack from 18:30 to 19:00, 18:00 to cookies, and more ...). And the staff was very kindly and try help us in spanish language. I think I'ld be happy there, for a while or some holidays.

Room Tip: Funny, Big Suite Rooms, Free Shuttle to beach, to airport..., Free snacks, Near of Airport... I thin...

The a/c on this hotel is really weak. Those a/c that they in every single of their hotel room seems to be a 1990's model. I also saw some a lot of people having the same problem in the hotel because they are leaving their windows open at night and doors open during the morning and afternoon.... I would not recommend this hotel, try going to "Travelodge" or La Quinta" for an overwhelming vacation or stay.....

Room Tip: My advice is to just ignore this hotel when you're looking for a hotel close to los angeles airp...
