“awesome place to stay for Coachella”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 21, 2009

We stayed here for Coachella 09. It was a quick 15 minutes to the festival - great location. A little pricey, but all hotels get pricey during festival time. Good breakfast, good rooms. No complaints.

Good things about hotel = very close to highway (the I-10) and rooms faced inward so doors not open to the outside - felt safer.

They still allow smoking in the hotel so be very sure to ask for a non smoking room. It was around $90 and we stayed only one night (weary from the road). The breakfast in the morning was bland as usual for this kind of hotel but they did have hard boiled eggs, breakfast potatos (which I tried) and sausages (my husband liked them). There's coffee in the morning too and they have to-go cups. There was also a hair dryer and microwave in the room. The room could definitely do with a fresh coat of paint and new pictures - very dull and a little depressing with the fake plastic flowers in a vase.

My friends and I stayed at the Quality Inn in Indio, CA for two nights in the month of April for Stagecoach. It was close to the Show which was nice but other than the location I have nothing nice to stay about the hotel. The hotel was very pricey and had extra hidden fees. They charge a $1.50 per night for use of an in room safe, there is also a charge for having more than 2 people in a room which I thought was horrible because we were staying in a room with two beds. They are very strict about their checkout policy and times at the pool and breakfast. Their so called "Continental Breakfast" was horrible!! The pool was dirty from the winds. We had to clean it ourselfs and ask for the pool area to be unlocked. The spa was cold it took 30 minutes for someone to come down to the pool which even after it was turned on it took 30 more minutes to turn to lukewarm water. My boyfriend cut his foot open on the drain which was broken in the spa. We then went down to the lobby to ask for a band aid not once did they apologize for the broken spa. The room was a pretty big size and had a microwave, and fridge was really nice. The shower was ok, there were water strains on the ceiling above the beds, the curatins were very dusty, the beds and pillows were very uncomfortable. There was no elevator we had to pull up the luggage cart up the stairs. We asked for more towels since there was four of us staying in the room they gave us 2 towels and said that they were doing the laundry. The walls were paper-thin we would hear music all night long. Our view from the room looked towards the parking lot and a Mexican restaurant. Overall this is a bad hotel. I would not waste your time or money stay away from the Quality Inn in Indio, CA

From the past reviews of this hotel, i was a bit weary but i couldnt beat the price and location of this hotel so i decided to trust the name and gave it a shot anyway...
The outside of the Quality Inn isnt much to look at (the parking lot could use a re-paving) But I was always taught that its whats inside that counts so we overlooked the shabbyness and proceeded to the front entrance.
As i walked in I noticed that The Lobby was small but clean, there was a nice sitting area, and Check-in was a breeze!

When i first enter our room, i noticed a funny smell, but that went away after i ran the a/c for a bit, my husband didnt even notice it. I was plesantly suprised to see such Excellent accomodations! Large clean rooms, In room coffee, hair dryer, iron & board, microwave, mini refrigerator and comfty bed. Our room had a couch and recliner and desk w/chair too!!
The rooms are not facing the street so i felt very safe and it was quiet!

The Pool and wirlpool facilities were small but private. There was a sign at the front desk explaining that the pool might be a little dirty because if the high winds, but it wasnt that bad, a couple of bugs and leaves here and there, wich took me about 5 min. to clean myself with the hotel pool net, for my comfort before we jumped in.

There was free ice water in the lobby and a small variety of free
coffee for the guests! a couple of vending machines with a variety of cold drinks and snacks.
The free contanental breakfast offered a good varity of hot/cold food. there was even a small dining area with a T.V. so you didnt have to eat in your room.

The hotel was located Off the 10 fwy and super close to hwy 111 I had no trouble at all finding my way around the city from this hotel.

Only got a chance to stay one night, but comfortable enough to stay for a week or two! The Front desk staff (Joanna & Arun) were super friendly and helpful! My parents choose to stay at the Indian wells resort hotel and were disappointed at the fact that their room was smaller and about double the price then ours and not as comfty (they didnt even have a mini fridge)
if i am ever in Indio again, i will definetly be back here. =)

Great value for under $90 per night. Certainly not in a plush area, but not paying plush prices either. The room was clean, spacious, and up to date. The bed was very comfortable. It was convenient to the 10 but very quiet. The breakfast was adequate. Very close to anything you would want to do. One downside. The wireless internet connection was a bit slow, however, that might be due to our room location.

2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 20, 2007

When we arrived at the Quality Inn in Indio we noticed it looked a bit shabby outside but we had driven a long way and we had already reserved so we stayed there. That was a mistake. On the positive side, our room was spacious, the bed was comfortable and there was access to wireless internet. However, the whole hotel is in need of renovation and a good cleaning. The toilet slowly leaked and the rest of the bathroom was so unclean that we chose not to bathe that night. Although the breakfast was "hot" as advertised, it consisted of rather unappetizing sausage, potatos and hard boiled eggs, all of which had been sitting in the steamer for a long period. Beyond that the breakfast room was quite unclean. We chose to go to down the freeway to IHOP instead.

  • Liked — It was in the right town and there were limited choices.
  • Disliked — Uncleanliness

Had oppurtunity to stay here Sep 29-30 2006.Found room on internet.Photos showed beautiful outside, all kind of flowers etc.
Photos inside nice too.rate reasonable. It is the very first hotel off interstate.Very easy to pass by (wish we did).Soon as we seen it
we knew we were in trouble.outside very dinky,in a remote area and where were all these flowers???But the best was to come when we went inside to see our room.Speaking of dated ...rug completely worn, furnitre old, strong odor of smoke, mismatch of everything color scheme unreal.NIGHTMARE. If you visit this area make sure you get a room on rt 11 much nicer area.We were visiting the Palm Spring area and thought Indio a few miles from PS would be nice.Indio a lot to be desired, every town after Indio on RT11 beautiful.Stayed in many Quality Inns but this was the worst and would not stay here for free.By the way we checked in on fri we were staying for 2 days and to try and get another room would be to tough and inconvenient , so we took the bullet here.I'll end by saying this hotel if any needs a major update in and out....
