“Great Smaller resort”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 10, 2013

We got a Groupon deal which was great. But what interested us the most was the history. It is a smaller resort, spotlessly clean, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We enjoyed it so much, we stayed another two nights on the spur of the moment. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was tastefully furnished, and the bathroom great, updated. The only thing that bothered us, was being on the second floor, the people above us were "heavy walkers" and we could hear them "stomping" above. Breakfast was included, and was very substantial indeed. The pool spotless and great views overlooking the golf course and mountains. An added surprise, was a free show by Frank DeSalvo - who is an amazing musician, and singer, singing Sinatra era songs, - right up our alley. He performed for about 3 and a half hours, on his own, with about a 20 minute break. He has performed with a number of bands, and had his own at one time, also performed with BB King, and some others, also Las Vegas, but now living in Palm Springs. We watched his show for all three nights, and enjoyed them so much.
Perhaps this resort would not suit families with teenagers, who want lots of entertainment provided by the bigger resorts, but it suited us perfectly. We prefer the smaller hotels.
We will definitely stay there again.

Room Tip: Next time we would request a room on the top floor (3rd). When staying there, on the 2nd floor, w...

We travel every weekend to a new destination hotel. This weekend we stated at the Indian Wells Resort. The history intrigued us, so we made a reservation. Honestly, yes the hotel could use a facelift with all the brass and neutral colors but honestly, the dinner in the restaurant was wonderful, the rooms spacious, the views unmatched, the pool beautiful! Service could be a little more friendly and timely at the pool but other than that... We had a fantastic stay!

We went there last year to compete in a tennis match. Indian Wells is a top notch tennis facility where the pros play. Tennis courts are perfectly manicured against a background of beautiful mountains. It is a great experience j just too. Hold a tennis raquet there. There is also gambling near by and indian springs is only a half hour away. Don't d forget to see Marilyn Monroe,s statue or to go on the air tram through the mountains. Enjoy the warm , dry weather and have fun.

Thank Heavens for Les & Paul at Frank's place (Bar & Restaurant)... because the Front desk was staffed by a pretentious young woman who could use a seminar in Customer Service...
Tried to book a return visit and were quoted inflated prices, tried to retrieve a personal item(a Beret) from Lost & Found and the chunky gal at the front desk wouldn't even take a look and adamantly stated if it were there she would know... (It was and she didn't!!!)
...but the food is fabulous and the rest of the staff are great...
(Breakfast: No 3 minute Boiled Eggs here, these are the 20 minute type, dried out & almost inedible, No Bacon or Sausage links, this is NOT the Hilton Garden!!! Poor quality coffee)

Exemplary service at the bar by Les and our most personable dinner waiter, Paul made the evening a must repeat...
Only recommendation to the management is to plant more trees in the parking lot for shade...& to allocate by numbering the Parking spaces along the west side to the adjacent rooms with any extras as the required "Handicapped ONLY" ...

Room Tip: #'s 110 - 116 are readily accessible from your car for Mobility Impaired and Pet Owners... #...

This is a nice looking hotel. It is clean and the pool is beautiful. The rooms are nice and big and tastefully decorated. It is very quiet. BUT, it lacks three things that a hotel needs to be good. The beds are terrible. Both my wife and I woke up with sore backs and necks. Like sleeping on a giant sponge! Second, the room has shutters instead of drapes, so you can't get the room dark. Third, the AC unit is very noisy. So you have to turn it off at night in order to be able to sleep. And in the summer in Indian Wells, the room gets hot without AC.

The complimentary continental breakfast was only okay. We would likely not come back or recommend. Sorry Desi and Lucy(:

Room Tip: Rooms either face the road/parking lot or the pool and golf course. You can guess which one to requ...
