“Inexpensive and fun!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 20, 2013

Booked this hotel through Hotwire for $80; Unfortunately, the basic rooms do not even have a balcony. When we checked in, we were able to upgrade to a "villa suite" for $100 more per night. This room was great. It was right by the pool, had a bedroom, living room, and huge bathroom with a jacuzzi tub. A very family friendly hotel with two pools, one being adults only. The poolside drinks are very good, very strong, and very inexpensive. An overall great place for families in Palm Springs!

Recently had my first trip to the Palm Springs, CA area, a business trip to the Miramonte Resort in Indian Wells, CA. An oasis in the desert is what it turned out to be! I really had only one complaint (a minor one at that - late wake-up call) and I addressed it on the hotel review form that came my way by email. Hotel staff responded in less than 24 hours and indicated they would address the issue. I realize the electronic age we're in and I should depend on the hotel wake-up calls, but I still prefer that old fashioned method.

Room Tip: My room was in the back corner of the complex, away from the main building, but is was very quiet an...

I Love, love, love The Well Luxury Spa!!!

Spa:
They are a small boutique but they make great use of their space. They have allocated their outdoor spa space for 'spa members' only. You need to receive a spa treatment in order to be welcomed into the whirlpool or spa area, which is a PLUS, as I said they are small.

My favorite aspect of this spa is the fact that they conduct their massages in their outdoor rooms next to their outdoor spa area/ just around the corner where one feels completely at ease. Its so relaxing ....its perfect for a couples massage. I have also had several of their facial treatments all organic and botanical, I always walk out feeling rejuvenated and my skin feels dewy. My husband has experienced their facials for men, he equally loves this spa.

You have the option to have food delivered from the restaurant to the spa, they also offer a nice complimentary selection of nuts, raisins, chocolates, cookies, infused botanical teas and more...

Their locker rooms are FULLY equipped with everything as well as super tidy and clean!

Hotel:
The Indian Wells resort features 215 guest rooms, suites and villas that are woven into 11 expansive acres of olive trees, fragrant citrus groves, rose, herb and flower gardens (its awesome to seat out on the restaurant patio for breakfast or lunch).

The Grove Artisan Kitchen is AMAZING!!! Robert Nyerick is the Executive Chef of Miramonte Resort & Spa's acclaimed farm-to-table restaurant, the food here is ridiculously good! So fresh, the service is equally great. This is one of our favorite hotel restaurants in Coachella Valley.

Villas:
Super clean, well appointed, it has everything you can wish for. The bed linens and the mattresses are super comfy, noise level is down to a minimum which is a great added bonus.

The Mediterranean architecture exudes a warm inviting feeling throughout the property, if you are in need for that ULTIMATE sense of serenity, Miramonte is a great choice for a boutique property!

I booked this resort through Priceline. The resort itself was good value for the price I got through Priceline. But when I checked in I discovered the hotel was charging me an additional $28 resort fee and an $8 "self part" fee. This was a > 50% increase in the price I paid to Priceline and frankly a rip-off for the services provided at the hotel. Very disappointing to be nickle and dimed like this.

Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your recent stay. I apologize that the experience did not live up to your expectations. We strive for perfection throughout all areas of the resort and your comments regarding the resort fee and parking charges are disappointing. We do our best to ensure that any additional fees are transparent on our partner sites. Our hope is that you will give us a chance to redeem ourselves on your next visit to Indian Wells. Again, thank you for your feedback.

At first we were overwhelmed and dumbstruck when we pulled into the miramonte and checked in. The place looked absolutely amazing and we were looking forward to our 4 days here. However on closer inspection we found that it was not all so good. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The entertainment on thursday and the tapas a welcome delight.BUT our room on entering smelt damp and was very dark. Our housekeeper woke us up at 8.15am asking if we wanted room service. The room service we received was minimal and I had to actually leave a list of things needed eg. tissues, soap, towels, coffee, bins emptying. The walls are VERY thin and we could hear EVERYTHING that was going on in the room above and next door. As there is no monitoring at night we were frequently disturbed in the early hours by party goers coming in and having loud conversations. The pool and jacuzzi area are pleasant to seat around, but the problem is getting a lounger, as it was very busy when we were there and all were taken. Overall, pleasnt enough experience but not in a hurry to return. Would choose a different hotel.

We had a bad experience at the so called 5 star Parker Palms in Palm Springs a couple of years back
Decided to try the area again and we were so glad we did.
The Miramonte is a real gem the staff are all so friendly the facilities first class
We had a Dolce suite with a lovely balcony in building No 8
We had breakfast, lunch, bar snacks and a lovely evening meal and all were excellent
Some foul mouthed guys were-at he bar one night but after we brought it to the attention of reception the restaraunt manager quickly stopped it.
The Chinese president was staying across the road so we had a bit of disruption with protesters outside the hotel but all in all no problems
A special mention to the golf concergie who fixed a game at the Indian Wells golf resort and also at short notice got us a game at Desert Springs

We live in San Diego and wanted to get away for a short trip to the desert. MiraMonte was an excellent choice. Hotel staff members were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The grounds were beautiful and well maintained. The room was very nice and clean. The food was fresh and delicious.

We will stay here again next time we are in the Palm Springs area.

Room Tip: Ask for a room near the pool in one of the smaller villas.
