“My New Favorite Place in the Coachella Valley!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2012

Palm Springs is one of my favorite weekend getaway places in the world. I've stayed in dozens of hotels/resorts all around the Coachella Valley and the Miramonte Resort and Spa is my new favorite place! The one and only draw back was the a/c in my particular room. The vent is right above the bed and it would force air forward and you couldn't feel it while you were sleeping. For some this might not matter, but I like to a/c circulating whem I'm in bed so it wasn't so great. There were a few of us in the group and other rooms didn't have this issue. So..if you don't like this, don't stay in 916. Other than that, it was awesome! The rooms themselves are very huge and very comfortable. The resort is beautiful and quiet. There are 2 pools, one for adults and one for families. The adult pool is a bit on the small side but the family pool is huge. The water temperature was perfect! I've stayed in Palm Springs lots of times in the middle of summer and it's hard to find a place where the water isn't TOO warm. The service was first rate all the way. Each and every employee we encountered was super friendly and helpful. A lot of times you have to search everywhere to find a server at the pool. This was definitely not the case here. The staff would make rounds of the pool on a very regular basis to make sure no one needed anything. Although we did not eat at the restaurant, we did order room service and it was delicious and reasonably priced. The specialize in a 16 inch, 4 cheese pizza, which also includes 2 toppings. We got 2 for 4 people but could have done with one. It was hot and tasty. I did look at the menu while here and the choices were good and the prices reasonable. The resort fee was higher than most places in the area. The resort fee does not cover parking, which is another $8 per day, and I think $12 for valet. I think the resort fees AND parking fees together are too much, but this place was 10x better than the La Quinta Resort. In fact, if you are a fan of the La Quinta resort, you will love the Miramonte and probably never go to La Qunita again.

Room Tip: All of the buildings seemed very good and had lovely views. 916 was not the best for air circulati...

WOW- Beautiful apartments and surroundings in a 5*resort! Due to the time of year the pool area was very quite so no getting up too early for the best sun lounger, although we did get up early as it was soooo HOT! One day the temp got to 120. Small hot tub near the family pool and an adult only pool near by. We ate breakfast in the restaurant which was very good, and not too pricey. Resort ideally located and easy to find, plenty of eating places and shops near-by and Palm Springs Canyon Drive only 15 mins drive. Sure they could have included the parking charge in with the resort fee.
We went to the Aerial Tramway- worth a visit and also went to see the 28ft Marilyn Monroe Statue.

Thank you so much for selecting our resort and for this GREAT review. Glad to hear that you had some quality pool time especially during this time of year when the mercury rises so high. Equally, it was great to see that you were able to get out and see some of the great activities that our desert has to offer. Again, we appreciate you taking the time to share your experiences and we look forward to having you back with us in the near future.

The Miramonte is an experience for the senses. The manicured lawns, the excellent staff, the pools. All was heavenly. The food and drink prices are a little high, but the food and service make up for it.

I have stayed in most resorts in Palm Springs area, and Miramonte is one of my favorites. It is ranked as 4 star by Expedia & Auto Club, but it is a 5 star in my opinion.
Likes:
- Quiet Resort like grounds
- Great rooms
- Close to El Paseo shopping/dining area
- Great staff
Dislikes
- They charge for self parking
- High resort fees (I guess that is a given)

Room Tip: They had Kids eat FREE at breakfast.

I had stayed here before, and reviewed it, and it was a lovely place, so I was very excited to come back!

We were told at the front desk that they didn't think we'd get early checking (2pm) as SO many other people had done early check in,; I explained we had massages at 4pm, so it was suggested they keep our bags and we check in AFTER massages?!?! Who does that? You want to go back to your room after a massage ... So they ended up giving us a room, other end of the resort with a view of the parking and hotel storage area. Great.

The room was lovely, two big beds, lots of space, but the minibar fridge was broken, the room had not been dusted in a LONG time, and the pillows smelled so bad, I used my robe as a pillow for the night.

Pool areas are great; family pool area exactly as you imagine - lots of kids!! Adult only pool was great.

Wait staff - 100%, cannot fault them at all - our pool waiter for the weekend was AWESOME, our breakfast waitress the smokiest, loveliest lady ever ....

Spa area is great, but they took away all the things that made it special ... No nuts to munch on, no facial cremes or toners to use after the shower etc ....

My memory of this place from before was fabulous, and I told so many people to come here .... After this trip, I'd look somewhere else unless I got a great deal online for it.

Be aware, there are resort fees AND parking charges - $15 a night for valet, and $8 for self parking.

We thank you for taking the time to share on your recent experience with us. I was pleased to hear that you enjoyed your time at the pool and the service in the restaurant while having breakfast. We certainly apologize for your guestroom experience as that is certainly not indicative to the type of service or quality our resort has become known for. We would hope to have you back with us in the near future. The resort is undergoing a complete room renovation that will be finished at the end of summer. Thank you again for sharing.

This hotel was spectacular. It had a wonderful pool and jacuzzi. It had very nice rooms,
but the bedroom just needed updating. A very, very good location, near great restaurants and shopping. The staff were very friendly and the thing I liked about this hotel is it's very informal. This is a smaller resort, which is nice because you do not have to go in an elevator to get to your room, because it's more like a villa. It was great at night to swim, because you had the sparkling pool and jacuzzi all to yourself. Overall it was excellent resort where we had our family reunion

Room Tip: Try to get rooms near the pool.

This was our first stay at the Miramonte Hotel. We were celebrating our 17 year anniversary. We had a wonderful time and the entire staff was very friendly and helpful. We were treated very well and we barley mentioned it was our anniversary and they surprised us with a few things. We will be returning very soon.
