“Spectacular Vistas”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 9, 2012

We visited this golf resort as a combonation of business and pleasure. This is truly a 5 star golf resort that has been completely updated and redesigned (golf course) only 5 years ago. The on property resturants are equivilaent to those top of the line favorites here in NY City. (Also priced comparitively). If your a golfer looking for a new getttaway, you'll love Indian Wells.

Room Tip: I would,nt bother with "pool view" as the pool is tremendous and fenced in. The "ADU...

Thomas-
Thank you for your comments. We couldn't have written it better ourselves! The golf courses here are truly spectacular and our food really is superb, really.
Indian Wells is a hidden jewel in the Coachella Valley, just 30 minutes from Palm Springs and we hope more people discover it.
Thanks again -

We decided to try the Hyatt as we hadn't ever stayed there, and decided we would try their Regency Club (because we used something similar at the Intercontinental, which we love) we stayed one night (which was one too many).
We arrive, the lobby looks nice and modern which doesn't match the rest of the hotel at all it's kind of deceiving. We drag our luggage through 3 sections of the building before we finally find our room on the 4th floor and find they placed us next to the ice macheine and the elevators ( we had asked for a very quiet room), we call the desk and are moved further down the hallway. We find half the lights in our room don't work, all the faucets on the bath and shower are installed upside down, the shower's hot and cold are reversed. The bathroom had urine splashed on the floor totally gross. The remote to the tv stops working. And the beds are the most uncomfortable beds I've ever slept in, one of the down comforters had a hole in it, spilling feathers every where. The rooms aren't really anything special considering the prices, the furniture is all mish matched and doesn't really go together.
And the Regency Club, what a joke, none of the beverages are chilled, the food isn't really that impressive, they charge for alcohol (which in reality should be included). I've used club lounges before and this one wasn't even in the same ball park, I didn't really feel that you were getting anything special. I think i'll stick with Intercontinental Hotels from now on.
I will not be coming back.

Rooms are ok, a bit dated perhaps but very comfortable. The adult only pool is wonderful, peaceful, relaxing, great pool with good service if you want a drink or snack. The shrimp tacos with pickled jicama at the bar were excellent. Self parking available, ask at check in.

Beautiful rooms, great service, scrumptious food, great gym. We only stayed 1 night ... And it wasn't easy to say goodbye.

I have been a member of Hyatt Gold Passport for years but don't often find Hyatt's where I am traveling. I've always found Hyatt to be exceptionally good at service and the Hyatt Grand Champions is no exception. They always look after their Gold Passport members, even if they don't have many stays with the chain. This is our second time staying there.

Although the hotel is a bit dated, it is very comfortable and the rooms are large. All of the rooms in this hotel are exactly the same. The price variation depends on location with golf and pool views being higher than "garden" (parking lot). The staff are always very welcoming and are ready to answer any question you might have.

Our only complaint was the air conditioning which was very noisy and went on and off all night. When my husband mentioned this on check out, they told him they wished he had mentioned it because they can adjust the compressor in each room, which they would have gladly done. They took $50 off the bill!

Room Tip: If you choose the senior rate, request a room on an upper floor and closer to the lobby. Otherwise y...

My husband and I ended up with this choice from Priceline.com. Although I was happy, I had bid for a 3 star and had not expected to get a resort with $35 of resort fees and parking. That being said..it was a very nice and clean room. It was very large and the bathroom was beautiful. Our only complaint..(and in the heat of the desert, this is a problem) is that the air conditioning didn't work very well. We called the front desk and they sent a worker to fix it, but it still struggled all night. I would probably stay here again given the chance. I wish I could review the amenities, however, we were only there for one quick night and did not have a chance to try them out!

Stayed here for 3 nights in early March for a conference. Very nice hotels. I had a normal pool-view room, king size bed. Extremely spacious rooms with a full sitting area and a nice balcony. I only went to the adult pool and it was a cool, little spot with a plethora of palm trees.

The scenery at the resort is amazing, with the beautiful mountains in the background, immaculate grounds, and a well-maintained golf course.

The scene at Agave Sunset is an interesting scene later in the evening when they have a band. The bands were fun though. Being under 30, I did feel like a big-time minority with the age at the bar, but it was still fun.

I got a hot stone massage in the spa and it was worth it. You have access to the spa all day if you schedule a treatment there.

Room Tip: Try to get a pool view room away from the kids' pool
