This is a great beach to let your dog run and play on the beach or in the water. My only complaint is a small handful of inconsiderate owners who let their dogs roam free and annoy everyone. That's certainly a small percentage though--most owners are very considerate.
Friendly atmosphere with great people and great dogs. Always the place to go for your dogs! Beach is clean, always had bags close by and if you ran out someone always had one handy for you. Just a great place to visit with your pet.....
I have taken my small Jack Russell a few times to Dog Beach. He loves to run, so this is really the only place I can wear him out! Beautiful place for dogs and their owners. Most people are nice and friendly. A few irresponsible owners let their dogs run too far off-leash and were not near by when an altercation occurred. Stay close to your dog! Small dogs are scared of the bigger dogs and can be defensive.
Bring your dog. Dogs love dog beach! Dogs run free without leash. Play ball, or play with other dogs for fun. Bring your dog water! Salt water does not taste good. You can park in the neighborhood without paying for parking with just a short walk.
Stopped by midday on a Monday so pretty much no one else on the beach except one other family also with a dog, so very happy that we were able to visit without disparaging looks from non-dog people. Parking was abundant this day and a short walk to the sand. Dog had a good time digging in the sand and running about, and there were plenty of trash cans for clean up duty.
