Bring your dog. Dogs love dog beach! Dogs run free without leash. Play ball, or play with other dogs for fun. Bring your dog water! Salt water does not taste good. You can park in the neighborhood without paying for parking with just a short walk.

Stopped by midday on a Monday so pretty much no one else on the beach except one other family also with a dog, so very happy that we were able to visit without disparaging looks from non-dog people. Parking was abundant this day and a short walk to the sand. Dog had a good time digging in the sand and running about, and there were plenty of trash cans for clean up duty.

The concept is great, but there are so many irresponsible dog owners who take their dogs and allow them to be off leash when they shouldn't be. For owners of small dogs, it can be very scary and intimidating. Parking is horrible and restrooms are inconvenient!

Well, OK, it's not exactly a place to put a towel down and sunbathe for the day, but there's no question the dogs love it. Their owners too! What I find remarkable is the dogs are in such good humor they seem to -- at least for the most part -- avoid fighting over territory or whatever else dogs fight over. And that's good!
