On first appearance Matusoto seems like a rustic, hidden, little resturant. Everything on entering looks simple and 70's. Then when the food arrives, my god, the level of excellence takes you to what becomes your favorite resturant with food unmatched to anything you've had before. I thought Japanese was raw food and loud chefs but here you get a quiet, happy, simple, atmosphere with food you move your calendar around to get to your next plate full.
