This place serves breakfast all day, and although I was there for dinner, lots of folks were ordering waffles, pancakes and other breakfast fare. The special that day was red velvet pancakes....not sure I'd order those for breakfast, but maybe for desert. The fried pork chops tasted just like I'd make them at home, and the split pea and ham soup also tasted home made. The not to miss item on the menu was the coconut cake. That is my favorite desert, and this was very good. They didn't skimp on the coconut, and the cake was moist, and icing not too sweet. There were other items on the menu that seemed to fit the comfort food category, but have not had the opportunity to try them. I understand that this place is very crowded at breakfast and lunch, but we went for dinner and there were plenty of tables and no wait.
