Too bad. Superb location for a active beachy-boozey long weekend. Hotel has a retro feel, way casual, feels like Jimmy Buffett and his buds would be happy here. Not a luxury property by any means but who cares!? The problem?? The front desk staff doesn't seem to give a rats a**. Brief story: I checked out, leaving behind my toiletry kit (most importantly, prescription glasses and prescription meds). Yes, that was my fault. I called the next day, yes they have it. I've had this happen before over the years at different hotels, most places will take your credit card number and ship it fedex. Not here, they want you to ship them a prepaid box, into which they will put your stuff and mail it back to you. So I mail them the box, at which point, then 2 weeks go by with nothing. So began a series of phone calls, the staff just blew me off at every turn, said to call back later to talk to other individuals who also knew nothing, just many wasted phone calls talking to people who ultimately just don't care. This attitude carried overe to several other experiences at the hotel, trying to resolve maintenance issues with the rooms etc, no one really seems to care. Nobody wants to take ownership of any problem. So go ahead and stay there, enjoy the location, expect nothing from the front desk staff and you won't be disappointed. (oh yeah tip the maids, it aint their fault)
