“Good location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 18, 2009

We concentrated on the Northern Sonoma wineries and this was a good location. We checked in as we came into town and they gave us our winery coupons.
We stayed in the Tuscan rooms as advised. Rooms were clean and enough space. Shower is tiny but doable. We were on the highway side but did not notice noise. Fitness room was full Saturday morning. Breakfast was unremarkable but nice to grab coffee.
Front desk staff was always helpful.

Aaron, overall the experience was excellent! The room was very nice and clean;
daily change-over was great; and, the morning breakfast(s) quite tasteful!
Thanks for having us and should we return to the Healdsburg & area wine country,
we would definitely be reserving at Dry Creek Inn.
Will be recommending your lodging to friends should they be visiting the area! The restaurant next door was very good and dinner at Bistro Ralphs' was one the best dining experiences ever!
Respectfully,

Dave & Lynne Cousins

The rooms were clean and spacious, with two double beds. If you can stay in the new section that they have recently built. All the rooms have little balconies facing a courtyard. They are also in the process of building a new pool, as the current one is rather small. There is an outdoor jacuzzi in the middle of the new courtyard. A good base to go exploring the vineyards from.

A lot of good restaurants to choose form in Healdsburg.

My husband and I just stayed two nights here in one of the Tuscan rooms. The rooms were very nice, clean, and well appointed. Certainly there nicer hotels right in Healdsburg, but for the price this can't be beat. I can understand some of the comments about it being a little noisy, but it really wasn't too bad. The continental breakfast was fine. The business center had two computers for our use, and I believe they also had one in the fitness room. We used the sauna and steam room too; they were clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful; they set us up with some tasting coupons at quite a number of the Dry Creek wineries we visited. The hotel is within walking distance to Healdsburg, and minutes away from wineries. I think Wilson is literally 2 minutes away. I would stay here again.

Exceeded expectations, especially considering it was the cheapest rate. We stayed in the new Tuscan wing. Ask for it if available. Room was good size, clean and king size bed was very comfortable. Nice flat screen TV, built in sound system, gas fireplace (!) and jacuzzi tub. Also outdoor hot tub/sauna right off the patio. Front desk had good tips on wineries and restaurants. They gave referrals for free wine tastings at several of the tasting rooms. Location was convenient - a short drive to Healdsburg Sq. but not quite in walking distance to anything of interest.

Last year we stayed in the "Vintage Rooms" and wished we weren't there. This year we stayed at the hotel because we had to but chose the more expensive area of the hotel. What a difference. The vintage area is a basic motel room with basic amenities and ill fitting doors, damp rooms generally unsatisfactory for the price. The new rooms are warm, have almost great bathrooms, nice soft furnishings etc. Well worth the price difference, I would definately recommend it and stay there again.
Don't bother with the hotel breakfast if the hotel is busy. Fighting over bagels and tables with other tourists s miserable. Walk to Fitch Mountain Eddie's two blocks away on the corner of Dry Creek and Healdsburg Ave for a good basic breakfast.

I planned a 50th birthday getaway for my husband to Wine Country. We flew in from the midwest, and splurged on a Bed and Breakfast and a couple meals, so then I was looking for something lower priced for one night. After searching on the internet, I found the Dry Creek Inn and their 'Sizzling Hot Deals'. I was afraid it would be little box, but the rooms were spacious, the breakfast was very good, in a very large and open room. The 'sizzling hot deal' room was not in their Tuscan courtyard, which was GORGEOUS, so next time (there WILL be a next time) we will definitely get a courtyard room. I would rather stay there a couple nights than to move around, we liked the wineries in that area better than in Napa Valley anyway.
