“Savorying an '06 Zin that is FAB on the beach”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 5, 2013

My husband and I traveled to Napa/Sonoma for our anniversary in April 2010 and we went to large, small, known and unknown wineries. We brought our lunch to Forchini one day and sat with the owners Jim and Anita who graciously shared their time, experience and lovely winery with us. We ordered wine and and had it sent to our place in Florida. We are nearing the end of our Forchini wine and are ordering more as I write this. This place is a nice treasure in Healdsburg. Don't miss it. (we did not visit in July '12 but Trip Adviser doesn't give you options for other dates)

“Individualized Tasting with the owner”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 16, 2012

Our visit to Forchini was a highlight of all our winery visits this trip. Tasting is by appointment only, so make sure to call a couple days prior to get on the schedule. We tasted with the owner, Jim Forchini. It was great to be able to hear his story of how he came into winemaking and his philosophy on making their wines. It's a nice, small, family atmosphere with great wines that are meant to pair with foods (just like an Italian is supposed to make wine, right?). Their shipping prices were incredible reasonable as well. Tasting fee is refunded with the purchase of at least 1 bottle. We may consider joining their wine club in the near future.

If you're looking for a winery without all the hype and tourism, this definitely has to be a spot on your list.

“Like dropping in on your neighbor for a tasting.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 10, 2009

Forchini was a breath of fresh air. If you are looking to get away from crowded tasting rooms and pretentious offerings then try Forchini. The wine is excellent and a great value. The story behind the winery is also quite interesting.
