We belonged to the club for a couple of years until their wine tasting dinner at Ruth's Chris in Denver last year (or was it '06?) The winery owner's son showed up inebriated and proceeded on the same course throughout the evening. he opened up the wine tasting by a shot of tequila (not a Lambert Bridge brand), followed by three to four of their reds. At the end of the evening we were each treated to a small sample of the tasty Crane Creek Cuvée. It was a disappointing experience, with little information about the winery or their wines. Shortly after the dinner Lambert Bridge changed their club privileges by revoking the customary 20% discount. In their letter to members, they justified the move by stating that the demand for their wines didn't allow them to offer the discount. That combined with the dinner experience made us cancel our membership. There are plenty of other wineries that make wines that are as good and more affordable. Lambert Bridge seems to have become too big for their britches; or too greedy.
