“2013 holiday dinner”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 7, 2014 via mobile

This place is worthy of your visit. The food is very good, the service is excellent and the wine list is as good as any (of note it strongly reflects the wines of Sonoma co.) my exercisable during the visit was a 4 out of 5. Again, the service is top notch. In contrast the vibe of the place was a little tired. Mostly due to our visit to be between the Christmas and New Years holidays. Some might like that dampened down feel, I was hoping for something upbeat. Everyone's food was great.

“Showplace for Sonoma County delicacies”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 3, 2014

Dry Creek Kitchen is our current favorite in the Healdsburg area. The three tasting menus offer a good sampling of the chef's specialties at a reasonable cost for the quality, but you can find even more variety on the à la carte pages of the menu. From the amuse-bouche to the petits fours, we savored each bite. In particular, the mushroom velouté demonstrated culinary skill and superb use of ingredients.
Wine pairings were spot on, and their price is definitely right ($15 for two generous glasses of excellent local wines). Whenever possible, the chef stresses local produce matched with Sonoma Valley wines, with terrific results.

“Try the Hotel Side”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 31, 2013

Great place. The Restaurant could only accommodate us for about 1 1/2 hours but said that the Hotel-extension would be open for as long as we wished. Right across the courtyard !! The main restaurant appeared to be fairly noisy so we were happily surprised when we found a quiet venue at the hotel-side.
The service was superior as there were both restaurant and bar waitstaff to take care of us. It is very modern in style with a very lovely fireplace.....soothing. The food, however, was exceptional. My duck (3-ways) was scrumptious and I hear that the pork belly was incredible (not my cup of tea). Wonderful desserts !
Lastly, they had a piano player who played blues as well as Cole Porter and other contemporary music. But you must ask her about her "special" sailing song. It was very restful.
One of the many places to visit in Healdsburg, but this one is a must.

“Pleasantly surprised!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 29, 2013

At first glance I was not too thrilled with the menu. I have dined many times throughout the years and always have a good meal. However, my visit turned into an experience when I heard specials. I had a risotto with shaved truffles and the for my main course a australian kobe beef steak. It was awesome. If you love ice cream have order the dessert. It a sampling of six flavors. The chef came out and spoke to diners at their tables at the end of the night. It was a nice gesture.

“Great restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 25, 2013

Excellent restaurant experience. Atmosphere was nice. The food was excellent. Four of us had different dishes and each was great. Servers were attentive but not in your face and there was no attitude which sometimes exists in a restaurant of this level.
