“Small and hidden away”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 16, 2014

This famous producer is hidden away. I had never heard of it but our guide took us there. Excellent wine and history. Worth a trip!

“The real deal for family winery”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 23, 2013

If you find yourself in Healdsburg, do yourself a favor and stop by John Tyler wines and say hello to Katey and Nicole. The wines are amazing and it was so nice to find a family run vineyard which makes their own exceptional wines. The passion made the difference for us!

Tasting room is cozy and nice. We ended up doing our tasting outside and spent the last part of an afternoon chatting away with Nicole. Good people, good wine! Stop by for a visit.

“Lovely time here- great wines. Small, family run.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 30, 2013

We were traveling with 2 other couples and stopped here as our last winery on a 4 day visit -3 in Sonoma and one day in Napa. The best for last. The girls - Katey and Nicole -and their story were great- we fell in love. Love that they are making it a go against bigger guys. Love that they were a big part of the wine that won the French competition. Love that they are continuing the family business and that they love family. Love that they are small and real farmers. Love their passion. Love their wine. Intimate setting- we went into the vineyard. Lovely tasting and conversation. We are fans.!!

“True family winery”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 16, 2012

John Tyler is one of those rare, truly family-owned wineries. The tasting experience was great--instructive and social. It's a little off the beaten path, which is all the better in my view.
