“One of the BEST small winery tasting rooms”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 20, 2013 credit card Amex Card Member Review

Foppiano Vineyards has a wonderful history in California. Some of their history is on display in their tasting room. It's a very nice place with the typical bar for tastes but the also have a few tables behind the tasting room under a massive walnut tree. Danielle, our representative, was extremely friendly and gave us insights to the wines were tasting. A great place to visit, see history, and taste great wines.

“Awful service.”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed October 30, 2012

I would stay away from this winery if you appreciate any kind of customer service.

We came here during a wedding weekend, having received tasting vouchers. When we used at other wineries, they were extremely gracious and gave us pours/service just as if we had paid at the time. However, at Foppiano, they have a separate menu for voucher tasting that just offers the nastiest wine that no one wants. Given that tastings are $5/person and our vouchers had cost more than that, we were really shocked that Foppiano would be so cheap, especially since folks obviously buy bottles of wine after tastings.

Having horrible service and being so cheap cost them a great customer at the end: we ended up joining all the other wineries we visited with vouchers.

Really sad business practice.

“Been going here for years”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 16, 2012

Great little family run winery that offers personal touches not seen at the larger producers. We typically make this our first, northernmost stop and then work our way back down towards San Fran. They have the nicest people working in the tasting room and we even bumped into the new vintner last time. Great little stop, even with kids.

“Nice family-run winery. Nice break from the larger wineries.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 22, 2012

I agree with other reviewers that this place has a certain charm. They have a decent selection of wines, and, as with most wineries, some wines are very good, and some are not. In our most recent trip to this area (we had been here 4 times before), we were looking for wines that were worthy of bringing back in the 3-bottle shipping container I put in my checked suitcase on the plane. We were impressed with their 2009 Russian River Valley Estate Bottled Petite Sirah. So, we purchased a bottle. Earning a spot in our take-home collection isn't as prestigious as a rating from "Wine Spectator" magazine, but, hey, it's something I'd look for in a TripAdvisor review! And, yes, if you look for coupons for wine tastings, I believe you can find one for either complimentary or 2-for-1 at Foppiano. Do it! :-)
