“Feels like home in wine country”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 18, 2011

Had a great stay at the Irish rose inn this weekend. Chris and lanny make you feel like family during your stay - made great dinner reservations for us and treated us to a tasty breakfast each morning. This cute bed and breakfast is right in the midst of the dry creek valley and close to many, many wineries for a great day of tasting. Also a very short drive to downtown healdsburg with a very cute square with shopping, tasting rooms and great restaurants. Our stay at the Irish rose Inn was relaxing and quite enjoyable - we will definitely be back!

Just got home from a three day stay in Healdsburg at The Irish Rose Inn with Chris and Lanny... We had been searching for a quiet destination spot to celebrate NYE and absolutely found a little piece of heaven out in the country at the Irish Rose. It's situated about 4 miles outside of downtown Healdsburg, off the beaten path but still convenient enough to take short drives for dinner, sightseeing etc. The house itself is large, warm, nicely appointed, full of charm and quite comfortable to spend time in. The shared living room and dining areas are cozy and well kept and the kitchen is accessible at all hours to visitors. Both Chris and Lanny are wonderfully friendly and welcoming, assisting in all of your needs both in and outside of the house. Lanny prepares an incredible breakfast every morning for visitors, his french toast souflee makes the perfect start. Chris offered up wine tasting passes for local wineries, helpful travel info and lots of local tips which is great if you've never visited. They also shared wine and chees with us in the afternoon, a nice touch to make you feel even more at home. We brought along our 9 year old blind pug who was welcomed with open, loving arms. We stayed in Kimberly's room- it's upstairs in the main house, very large and very cozy with a four poster bed and a huge bathroom complete with a great spa tub. Being a picky traveller myself, I found this B&B completely exceeds the quality of other local hotels in the area. There's plenty of room, great views from both sets of windows in the room, sweeping views of the vineyard and property and each room has it's own temperature control which is a nice plus on cold evenings. Another great perk is the wifi available to all guests. Chris and Lanny go out of their way to make you feel at home, without being intrusive whatsoever. It was such a special treat to spend the weekend with them, we can't wait to go back for another visit!

We had the pleasure of staying at Irish Rose Inn while attending an event at a local Dry Creek Winery. The room was lovely, tidy and supplied with fresh roses. The Lanny and Chris were wonderful hosts, who provided a warm home-like atmosphere and in addition they were able to suggest other local activities which we could participate in.
We also loved their cat, Virginia.

We've had a perfect visit here in the wine country. The B & B is clean and the rooms are cute. The owners, Chris and Lannie have been fabulous--telling us all the great things to do, giving us free passes for wine tastings. We've been hiking and enjoying too! The breakfasts are large and delicious and every evening the guests gather for wine and cheese downstairs. This is our second visit at the Irish Rose and it was even better than our first stay here. We highly recommend this B & B

We stayed for one night during our honeymoon on route from Sonoma to Mendochino. Healdsburg is gorgeous but the hotels are very expensive. The irish Rose was perfect, very welcoming and personal, a lovely change after faceless hotels.
The rooms are clean and comfortable, the food very very good and its right beside dry creek road and all the tasty wineries. We cycled for the day and ate out in healdsburg. Would recommend.

Chris and Lanny were great hosts. There is so much to do in the area, we were grateful for their advice. The Inn seemed literally like a home away from home.

Best B&B experience yet! Chris & Lanny welcomed me into their home and I soon felt like family. Both are great cooks, giving their guests a delicious breakfast. We sipped wonderful wine, shared stories and I met other amazing travelers. I truly enjoyed my 3-day stay.
