“One night not enough”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 1, 2014

We stayed one night after a full day of wine & food tasting, collapsed in a most comfortable king bed on the first floor. The house is 102 years old with an unusual bathroom layout including one of the largest sinks I've ever seen. The next morning's breakfast was delicious and we learned from the other two couples that all four of their breakfasts were just as good. We would have liked to stay longer to leisurely relax on the old-fashioned front porch or sit out in the garden to enjoy the roses and even commune with the family horses or cat. Overall, very comfortable, very relaxing with friendly caring hosts.

Fantastic two night stay in Healdsburg area! The bed was just as comfy and as nice as it looks in the picture. Chris was sweet as can be and very helpful when it came to finding wineries to visit (with a perk of free tasting at some!) The location is the best! If you are looking for the small production, rural, farm-like winery setting this is the place to stay. Everyplace we tasted at was friendly, inviting, and most of all non-pretentious! The wines were lovely and the beautiful setting matched quite well. Would highly recommend Chris and this area of wine country.

We stayed at the Irish Rose inn for the weekend, meeting our cousins from Oregon. Chris made our stay feel like we were her family. In fact, at breakfast our second morning, another couple who had checked in the night before thought we had stayed many times as we seemed so friendly with Chris and her husband Lanny. The accommodations are very comfortable, the food divine and the rose garden unlike any other we've seen. We wouldn't consider looking for another plan to stay in the area. Chris also set us up at several wineries and restaurants. Just mentioning her name gets you star treatment. She is loved by all int he area.

Room Tip: Chateau Margis if you want privacy. Michael's room for romance.

We chose the Irish Rose Inn months ago, browsing online. I didn't even remember any details by the time we got there, so it was like a lovely surprise for me! The location was fantastic, close to Healdsburg yet out in the middle of the vineyards, and our hosts were very kind and welcoming. We stayed in Chateau Margi, a little cottage behind the main house, and it was sweet and private. Our hosts were kind enough to move up the breakfast schedule for us because we were leaving fairly early, and it was a fabulous meal. We'll stay here again. Thank you, Chris and Lanny!

My husband and I spent a wonderful weekend in the wine country and felt like family during our stay at the Irish Rose. Our charming hosts were very accommodating, even adjusting the breakfast schedule due to our need to leave early the morning following our overnight. Our room was fresh, bright and very comfortable. We look forward to our next visit to this wine country region and another weekend at the Irish Rose Inn!

This was our first time at a Bed and Breakfast and we were not disappointed. The owners are very sweet and cook a great breakfast! It was great to feel like you were staying with family-- we even got to meet their adorable (and well-behaved) grandson. We stayed in Michael's Room which was very pretty and comfortable. There are plenty of vineyards within a very short drive and they also provide you with complimentary passes to many of these. Would highly recommend the Irish Rose!

My husband and I weren't feeling terrific but laying low at The Irish Rose helped our spirits! Bed was cozy and layered with warmth!

Our hosts were gentle, kind folks willing to open their home to those who need. Breakfast was included and was hearty and delicious!

This is a quick drive to Healdsburg and was the perfect spot for our energy to reboot!
