We stayed at the Honor Mansion as part of an extended 40th anniversary celebration. I wish we had doubled our stay. The staff and owners took great care of us and the physical property
was very comfortable, a perfect place for a quiet, relaxing vacation.

Room Tip: we stayed in Vineyard Suite III it has a private backyard with a Jacuzzi tub

We stayed at the Honor Mansion for a recent wine country getaway weekend. The other reviewers are spot on: this place is all about the amazing service.

Some of my favorite details, in no particular order:

* Complimentary upgrade - we booked one of their more "conventional" mansion rooms. We got a complimentary upgrade to one of their fanciest suites (it was a quiet weekend). Of course, I'd never expect this, and who knows how often they do this, but it was an amazing surprise and really helped make our weekend.
* Wine and snacks waiting in the room - we had a late check-in and they weren't there to greet us, but in our room they left us a carafe of red wine and plates with crackers, cheese, and fruits, all from their daily afternoon wine and cheese tasting hour. Awesome.
* Fantastic breakfasts that feel more like a restaurant than a B&B - the buffet breakfasts they served every morning were excellent. We tend to prefer buffet style so we can pick and choose exactly what we want, as opposed to many B&Bs that serve the same plate to everyone. (Of course, each morning had a particular unique option at the buffet.) And then the staff comes around to each table to take your mimosa order (tasty!), offer anything else you need, etc.
* Complimentary bottle of white wine - there was a bottle waiting for us in our room. And not a $5 bargain bin bottle either - some pretty good stuff.
* Outdoor activities - they've got a tennis court, basketball court, crocket course, and bocce ball. We played bocce ball for the first time and loved it - it's like curling without all the cold!
* Great room - well-maintained, clean, great design, with high quality furnishings

Only minor rant (and this is super minor, and doesn't significantly detract from our overall enjoyment of the place) - why do so many high end rooms insist on having a bathroom that's partially visible to people outside of the bathroom? (In this case, via a fireplace with two windows that looks in on both the bathroom and the outside room.) Privacy please!

tl;dr: Very warm, inviting B&B with high quality amenities that's all about the service.

Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a comprehensive review. We truly appreciate the time it takes and are grateful you took it. Our staff truly endeavors to exceed guest expectations and we are thrilled that they exceeded yours. We are pleased that you enjoyed all of the amenities that the Honor Mansion offers.

We were disappointed that you were bothered by the “see through” fireplace in your suite. We designed that application primarily for romance, but also for comfort so that one could be soaking in the bath tub and still enjoy the fireplace while another could be anywhere in the bedroom/living room and also enjoy the fireplace, but we can appreciate that everyone has different levels of comfort. We do have several other rooms with the fireplaces in the corner of the living room and hope that you will try one of those on your next visit.

We will look forward to your future visit and until then, be well and enjoy your travels.
Warm regards,
Steve, Cathi & Staff

When we knew we were going to be in the wine country for a weekend in February, I immediately got on Tripadvisor to find a place to stay. After much research, we decided on the Honor Mansion. Thank you everyone who has written a review of this place! Now I get to add my praise. Our stay was fantastic! The owners were out of town, but the young women who manage the inn were absolutely wonderful. We called to say we would be arriving a few hours before check-in and were invited to come ahead and get registered. Amanda gave us a tour of the beautiful property and told us she would call us on our cell as soon as our room was ready if we wanted to go into Healdsberg for lunch. We stayed in the Camellia room, which was just lovely. The whole time we were there we felt like welcome guests in a friend's beautiful home. The three women who share the concierge job are exceptional. They will do their very best to make sure you stay is perfect! All are knowledgeable about the area and wines, and will be more than happy to make dinner reservations for you! The breakfasts are amazing. We were so impressed that we bought their cookbook! As a matter of fact, breakfast held us until we had a late lunch at the Bear Republic and Willi's (both great) and the inn's generous appetizers from 5 to 6, were just enough for our dinner!!! The weekend in the wine country was part of a trip celebrating my 65th birthday. When I made the reservation I was asked if we were celebrating anything special, so I told them about my birthday. In our room was a delicious chocolate cake, a bottle of Chardonnay, and card with good wishes for my birthday! Oh, and when Amanda took us up to our room, a CD player in our room was playing romantic music. I hadn't really been looking forward to turning 65, but the ladies at Honor Mansion helped make it pretty painless!!

We went to Honor Mansion to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. We expected a nice B&B with some amenities. What we got was the true definition of service. The entire staff catered to our every whim. At times they even helped us think of new whims we had not even envisioned. The Garden Suite was amazing as was the breakfast and wine in the evening. We went to Dry Creek Kitchen for our anniversary dinner (amazing dinner) and Steve & Cathy had arranged for a small opener of a lemon flavored sparkling wine. We normally don't drink sparkling wine but this was a great start to an amazing meal. The staff at Honor had recommended this restaurant to us and it exceeded expectations. Also learned that Steve had the same desires for wines/wineries as we did and everyone he recommended for us panned out nicely. Next time we will just get with him on our agenda. Again amazing and we will be staying with them again and again.

Room Tip: Talk to the staff on what you are wanting and they will make great recommendations.

Our experience was wonderful. The owners and staff made us feel welcome and even upgraded us to the Wisteria Suite. Although we only stayed for one evening, we wish we could have extended our trip for another night, just to pamper ourselves at the Honor Mansion!

This was our first time in Healdsburg and our first stay at a B&B! It was a true delight. My husband and I went on a weekend getaway for my 40th birthday, we had no agenda or reservations. We found the Honor online and my husband called, the young lady was so sweet and informed us that they had a drop in rate. She said come take a peek and see if it is something you would like. I will say my husband was a bit weary of the B&B experience, so he was so pleasantly surprised when we walked in. We ended up staying in the Squires Cottage! We loved our entire experience. The staff was wonderful, the breakfast was wonderful, the delivery of the coffee basket was wonderful, they took care of all our needs. I cannot say enough about it! I cannot wait to go back. If you are looking for a great B&B, or are a first timer, try the Honor...they will not disappoint! You'll be begging for more!
Thanks to all the staff for our weekend!
