Description: At Tao Cafe our aim is to bring you a relaxed, modern and casual atmosphere where you can catch up with your friends to enjoy a variety of foods, with the freshest ingredients from three different nations. At Tao you can watch fresh sushi being prepared and placed on a sushi train. You can choose from a wide selection of plates for as little as $2.50 Per plate. Our sushi chef is constantly updating and putting new items on the train such as Oysters With Chilli and Cod Roe or Teriyaki Scallops. If this is not enough for you, you can choose from our a la carte menu. There is a vast selection of all time favourite dishes of each region, such as Cashew Chicken and Pad Thai from Thailand, Pho Tai (half raw beef noodles) and Bun Bo Hue (spicy beef noodles) from Vietnam , not to mention Teriyaki Chicken (bento boxes available) and Tempura from Japan. We look forward to serving you a great dinning experience at Tao Cafe.....

“Tao - Myaree and Victoria Park”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

Have been to both Tao in Myaree and Victoria park. Most recently the victoria park one yesterday. Both are great little asian places that offer a selection of different cuisines, thai, vietnamese, japanese and some chinese dishes. I'm sure some authenticity is lost with offering all different cuisines but all the food I have tried has been delicious and fresh with massive portions for great prices.

Both cafes have really great decor and are very clean, modern and spacious with sushi conveyor belts running through the restaurant as well as booth seating and normal tables. It definitely looks like you should be paying more than $12-$15 per meal. Service has been ok - friendly waitresses who are sometimes a little too busy and maybe a little too easily distracted but for the prices we paid we were more than happy.
