My wife and I were driving up the coast en route to San Fransisco Airport. we had been using Trip Advisor all week for resturants. Since this was our last day on the West Coast, we wanted a special place and Italian was on the docket.
As noted in other reviews this is not right on the beach, but it is housed in a relatively attractive building. One side faces the water so ask for it if that is a priority. We faced the street but beyond it is the first range of mountains on the coast.
We were greeted and brought to a table with an immaculate starched white table cloth. The waiter was from Italy and spoke English with a strong accent. Great Italian bread with olive oil and Chiante (our choice from a nice wine list). My wife and I always do splits so we jointly ordered tuna in manero sauce with capers and eggplant. It was wonderful especially the tuna. For an out of the way town this Italian food rivaled that found in the big cities like NY.
We enjoyed a leisurely lunch with attentive service. We will go back and set it as a favorite destination on our travel GPS.
After lunch we walked the docks where commercial fisherman were selling fresh fish right foo their boat. We saw tuna, halibut, and other kinds of fish.
Bottom line this is a great place to have lunch (and no doubt dinner) in an offbeat town.
