Description: The Historic Miramar Beach Restaurant & Bar has a long and colorful history going back more than 70 years. It was originally designed and built as a Prohibition speakeasy to serve the liquor smuggled into the Bay Area through a drop off point on Miramar Beach. We have kept the historical ambiance and decor of the 1920s including an incomparable collection of photos from the era. With only a frontage road between us and the beautiful Pacific Ocean, we have the number one view and sunset on the Coast side. Check out our website at www.miramarbeachrestaurant.com.

“Great Location Overlooking the Beach”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 22, 2012

It was a glorious, sunny January afternoon when four of us dined alfresco for a late lunch with a view. Our friends announced their engagement! The patio is the best place to sit when the weather is warm as the interior of the restaurant is dark. Margarita was flavorful and a great size. The Crab Louie was piled high with fresh Dungeness, locally caught and the cheese bread was warm, gooey, and tasty. Each entrée was well prepared and presented with friendly wait service. Make sure to stroll along the beach or promenade for a relaxing excursion.

“sunset dinner”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 19, 2012

piano playing during a leaisurely, sunset dinner enhanced the atmosphere. Food was excellent. We had a window table facing the beach.

“Hoped for local seafood”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 16, 2012

Was there on a Monday night. Right on the ocean, good food and friendly service, hoped for local seafood but they didn't have any that night.

“Great place, one odd thing.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 15, 2012

We have been here many times and alwasy enjoyed ourselves. But this time something rather odd happened. We were seated at a window table, around 6pm so it was dark outside. When we ordered our dinner the waitress mentioned that we had been seated at a "preferred table" and were supposed to order entrees. Who knew? Maybe the management could rethink that one!

“Terrific”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 15, 2012 via mobile

We have been here twice and love the food and atmosphere. We have not had to wait too long. Chowder is terrific. Salmon sandwich and crab cake melt sandwich are both fabulous. View is great.
