You really can't beat the location for this State Beach/RV Park. It is right on the beach and there are plenty of picturesque walking trails. That said, there are still many draw backs to camping at this location. The RV park allows dogs, but you cannot walk your dog on the beach. The RV park itself is very much "parking lot" style, with only a small grass strip between each site which has a table and a fire pit. There are no hook ups for the RVs (no electricity, no water) and you can only run a generator for power between 10am-8pm - which tend to be the hours no one is at the RV. We usually travel here with a large family group and multiple cars.and we split the group between the RV site and a nearby hotel. The plus side to this location is that it will accommodate up to 8 per site (others is only 6), the down side is that there is not much overflow parking for the camping area (there is a large beach parking lot - but it closes at sunset). They do have a sanitation dump on site, which is convenient, and we heard from a "regular" that they will be adding electricity hook ups next year. We would be happy to pay more for a site here if hookups were offered.
