A delightful, beautifully renovated home.Comfortable, well appointed, warm and a welcoming hostess.A peaceful environment.A rural setting --however very near Wellington itself.I will certainly stay there again.

Room Tip: Underfloor heating throughout--all rooms excellent.

My girlfriend and I went to a wedding in Somerset but missed out on a room at the venue so my girlfriend found this little gem on the internet instead. I have to say I am now glad the wedding venue was booked out!

100% for cleanliness, friendliness, a fine breakfast and 110% for the best shower I have had this year. Okay it is a bit off the beaten track but chances are that's a positive foy anyone considering a country getaway to unwind.

The owner Louise also recommended a local pub in Holywell which was equally friendly. Overall an excellent experience.

I would recommend The Cider Barn to anyone. Louise was very friendly and allowed us to feel at home. Close to pubs and good base for local area. Dogs are well behaved and kept away from rooms so don't be put off. I would definitely stay again.

We were down for a wedding and looking for a base to make a long weekend of it - without being stuck in a bland, mass produced hotel room. And we found exactly that.

The Cider Barn is a charming barn, surrounded by fields and open spaces. Quite honestly some of the best nights sleep I have had. The room was calming, clean and had everything we could possibly need - including wine glasses and a bottle opener! The bathroom was immaculate and the shower gorgeous.

We were greeted by Louise and her two dogs who immediately made us feel welcome and went out of their way to ensure we had the nicest possible break. Breakfast was up in the family kitchen each morning, Lousie ensuring we had everything we needed and sourcing all the ingredients from the local area.

We had a stunning weekend and would absolutely recommend the Cider Barn to anyone thinking of staying in the area. Louise has lots of good suggestions of things to do and there are lots of beautiful walks for you right on your doorstep.

Thank You Louise for a wonderful weekend, and we shall Definately be back again!!

Louise is a most welcoming and accommodating hostess. I stayed in Cider Barn for two lovely nights in July 2012 and can highly recommend it. Runnington is a wonderful little hamlet within easy reach of Wellington and the M5 motorway junction 26. She sent me to an excellent pub up the road, booking ahead to ensure I had a place when I arrived.

We spent a couple of lovely days at Runnington following our wedding, Louise and her two incredibly well-trained spaniels were hugely welcoming, encouraging us to treat the Barn as our home from home during our stay. All newly refurbished, the Barn is warm and clean with a calm and relaxed atmosphere. It is the perfect setting to explore the beautiful surrounding countryside. There are lovely walks from the front door and the Quantocks, Blackdowns and Exmoor are all very close. Even though we live locally, we are planning an anniversary trip already!
