“You may even find a hobbit or two”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 2, 2014

Not the oldest or largest redwoods but simply beautiful with the ability to walk or drive through. An easy 1-2 hours with no strenuous hills to maneuver. Quiet, peaceful and look out for the Hobbit holes.

What a great place to hike! Simply beautiful walks, and very challenging hikes. Well maintained with clearly marked routes.

“Wonderful alternative to the wineries!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2014 via mobile

Found this on trip advisor while looking for something else to do after two days do touring wineries. What a great get away! The trees are absolutely magnificent! We went to Muir woods several years ago but prefer Armstrong Reserve, much less crowded! The paths are well marked and easy enough for anyone to enjoy. We were there too early for the visitor center so can't comment on that. If you find yourself with some time on your hands be sure to visit.

“Beautiful Redwood Trails, Nice Visitor Center”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 21, 2014

We only had a short time at this park. The visitor center was small but manned by a friendly volunteer. They had several exhibits of plants and animals found within the park as well as a nice selection of park-related items for sale.

The trail we chose was steep but gorgeous. Tall coastal redwoods, surrounded by native ferns. Apparently the picnic area is also very nice but we ran out of time. Not to worry! We'll be back.
