“awesome”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 11, 2013

Nature. It was quiet, beautiful and easy to navigate. It is quite the landmark and a must see if you are in the area. The parking was free and it is free to walk in. If you drive in (not really essential) it is $8.00 a car, still worth it.

“Oh The Trees!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 3, 2013

Even though you can see trees anywhere this is an experience that you need to have. Beautiful, peaceful, and overwhelming. Anyone that is near this wonder should stop and take it in and be glad that it has been saved for us.

“Beautiful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 2, 2013

This was a perfect park to take a fairly short hike among the redwoods. There are several very old trees here (1300 and 1400 years old). There were not many tourists despite the holiday weekend. We highly recommend this park as a very accessible and lovely spot to be among some of the most magnificent trees!

“Beautiful even if you only take a quick walk in!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 1, 2013 via mobile

My husband and I stopped here on our way through Guerneville to Korbel. You can park for free and just walk in. We did a 2 mile loop - the trail is marked and cleared off but there are shorter options as well. We saw the oldest tree and the tallest. The park itself is so peaceful and beautiful with lots of shade provided by the trees. There is a ton more to see but we just did this small bit and it was totally worth it. There are also picnic areas if you wanted to take your lunch in.

“Through the crowds, opt for the steep trail”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 29, 2013

On Memorial Day weekend, it was warm and sunny, less Monday. Sat was spent taking the trail less frequented by strollers, screaming children, nor barking dogs. After all we are in the woods. The woods are suppose to envelope you with its majesty and quiet.

The steep trail, with the occasional fellow walkers and hikers suited the bill. Once you left the Valley where the car traffic from those camping bound day trippers, the quiet and the grandeur of the Woods prevails.
