We stayed here for one night, en route from Yosemite to San Francisco. It's in a great location - handy for Yosemite and about 3 hours from SF.

The rooms are small, but comfortable and clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful (Hello Bob)

We ate in the restaurant, which we would recommend - the food was great and good value. The restaurant is open Thursday to Sunday, and we were told this at the time of booking.

There was free internet access available in the hotel lobby and a complimentary breakfast too - just cereal and fruit - but by this point we were fed up of massive pancake laden breakfasts anyway.

There is a bar opposite the hotel - can't remember its name - but the plaque outside claims it's the oldest boozer in California. Would recommend a drink or two in there :)

We stayed there with our two little children and it was so warming for them.
The ownders are wonderful people and were so kind with our children. The joining rooms were very nice and I loved the old bathtub. It was a great experience and it is soooo close to Yosemite that you safe a lot of money not staying in the expensive places in the park, thanks again

We stayed at the Hotel Charlotte for three nights - Monday - Wednesday - in the middle of September and, while the room was a bit on the small side (no room for a wardrobe), the fact that we had a bath and a shower was a real bonus. I was a bit disappointed that the dining room was closed the entire time we were there - apparently it opens from Thurs to Sunday but we weren't told that at the time of booking. Other dining options in the village were a Mexican restaurant next door, a steakhouse at the saloon opposite, and a very basic (but cheap!) diner down the road - so I had been looking forward to eating in at least one night. Maybe the fact that the restaurant was closed also contributed to the DIY breakfast which was OK - a bit basic but if you liked pancakes, OK.
All in all - a nice comfortable bed but the welcome didn't quite live up to the promises on the website.

Lovely hotel - rooms are smallish but very comfortable.

Groveland is 45 mins from the park entrance and another 30 from the valley - but the journey is an event in itself!

Heartily recommended!!
