Hotel Charlotte is a find. Groveland is a small town on the way into Yosemite. The staff is helpful, the rooms are comfortable and the food is good. We stayed there to use as home base for visiting Yosemite NP 30 miles away... an easy drive. Lynn and Victor were fun, and eager to help us enjoy the area. I wanted to see "big " trees and the staff offered advice. Good advice on this and on other things to see and do..

Would I recommend Hotel Charlotte to a friend? You bet.

I booked this hotel over phone for my parents. It was a last minute booking. Linda gave me a good deal on the prize and did not charge extra for an additional person. My parents liked the room and the service very much. The staff was friendly and atmosphere was welcoming. Room was clean and breakfast was nice!
Great place to stay!

Stayed at Hotel Charlotte for three nights as part of a two week tour of California. Initially booked for one night but quickly extended to three nights upon arrival. Hotel located approx 30 mins from entrance to Yosemite. Upon arrival all staff extremely friendly and all appeared to thoroughly enjoy working there.

Agree with previous comments, it was like staying at your Grandma's. Rooms quite small but clean and comfortable. The whole ambience of the Hotel and the friendliness of the staff made it a very pleasurable experience.

Ate in their restaurant for the three nights. Found food to be very good and at a reasonable price, especially comparing it to some other places in California.

Would have no hesitation in returning or recommending to others.

We were having a travelling holiday with no pre booked acomodation. We arrived in Groveland on a very hot afternoon and thought it would be a nice place to stay for the night.
Entering the hotel is like going into your granny's front room. there are lots of nic-nacs, pictures, clocks etc. A real good pleasant homley feel to the place.
The staff at the hotel were very friendly, the lady on the desk offered us a choice of the last two available rooms.
The room we chose was at the back of the building, on the ground floor. The decor was charming, sort of victorian, with a very large iron bedstead and patchwork quilt The matress was so high I had to climb into bed, (I've got short legs)
Late evening there was a little noise from the saloon across the way from the front of the hotel but nothing to cause upset.
I can honestly say that the breakfast was the best we had the whole of our 2 week trip.
The price was over our budget for each night BUT it was worth every penny.
