“We did not like it”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed August 22, 2012

We had to wait 1/2 hour before we were seated, it was crowded so we thought it would be a good restaurant. Big mistake. The fajita of our daughter was just OK, our son had taco, a very small one, with beans, I had a wrap with green sauce all over (I expected guacamole) and my husband had a wrap with beef that was fat meat. It wasn't tasty at all.

“We had it both nights in Groveland!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 20, 2012

This is probably some of the best Mexican food we've ever had. Service was fast and friendly, food was delicious, fresh, and warm. Prices were reasonable considering there aren't many places in the area to eat - lots of tourists. We got back right before closing one evening and although they couldn't seat us, they made us takeout right before closing - really accommodating, and understanding of hikers coming back from the park later in the evening.

“AMAZING mexican food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 14, 2012

I don't know a lot of amazing Mexican food, but my sister in law is Mexican. Still, this was some of the best mexican I had ever eaten in my life. We all ordered a variety of foods from the dinner menu and every last bit was delicious!

“Hidden Gem....must stop and eat!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 19, 2012

Went to Yosemite twice in one week. This time July 13th,& had looked for another place to eat on TripAdvisor, in little Groveland, besides pizza again.
We had 12 people, 4 adults and 8 girls/teens & pre-teens. The place is small but the wait was worth it. It was Friday night and we probably waited 20 min. They were busy, which is a good sign and lots of locals eating there.
The chips/salsa were fine, cabbage salsa & watery tomato but still good to snack on. They have a lot to choose from on the menu, plates are $9.95-$12.95 avg. Note, there is a $2 sharing fee if you want your food split on 2 plates or ask for another plate. If you share off they same plate, there is no charge. There was a child's menu for 11 and under (about $5.50 w/drink too).
I shared the Bob's Special with my husband that I read a review about. It was so good. He was doubtful, but the tostada on a flour tortilla was super and the sauce the used was addicting. The chile verde on the quesadilla won my husband over too. They accommodated our friends that wanted super spicy food. The food came out quick and hot.
The bathroom is funny in the back building, you go out one door to a porch and then to the left. It has a shower but it was clean overall. We would all eat here again and recommend.

“Satisfying Mexican Food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 14, 2012

After a full day of hiking, we were craving some Mexican food! Stopped into this place and quite enjoyed our enchiladas and burritos! A bit of a wait for a table during dinner, and the service isn't quick, but the food quality is good and portions are generous. Decent beer selection but no margaritas. Boo hoo! Otherwise, this place is a winner!
