Description: Dori’s Tea Cottage & Cafe is located at 18744 Main Street (Highway 120) in Groveland, California — just 26 miles from Yosemite National Park. In May 2008, Dori & Greg opened Dori’s Tea Cottage in the former home (built in 1935) of Minnie Ferretti, Groveland’s former U.S. Postmaster. Dori’s Tea Cottage offers a traditional English-style luncheon and gourmet teas in a peaceful and comfortable setting. In May 2012, Dori’s opened Dori's Cafe in an adjacent space, which was Groveland’s former U.S. Post Office. We offer breakfast wraps and bagels; pastries; espresso and iced coffee drinks; sandwiches and wraps; and salads; as well as everything you need to "Build a Picnic" -- cheeses, salami, crackers, fine wines, etc.We hope you'll stop in to see us – whether it's for a quick breakfast or pastry, join us for our English tea luncheon, or grab lunch to go for your trip to Yosemite. - SUMMER HOURS - CAFE: Open everyday from 7am - 5 pm; open until 7pm on Friday and Saturday.TEA ROOM: Open Wednesday through Monday (closed Tue) 11am - 3pm; reservations highly recommended during summer.

“A little gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 16, 2010

Killing time before we could check into our accommodation , we stopped in Groveland and "found" Dori's. What a find this was--the food and tea are superbly presented, highly original and served with a friendliness that many other establishments would do well to emulate. Can't wait to go back !

“Delightful”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 6, 2010

Go for tea, it is so different from everything else. Dori's has a passion for tea and the foods they serve with it. The experience is best drawn out through the afternoon and hours of comfortable conversation.

“Hidden gem in Groveland”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 21, 2009

Normally, my husband and I jam through Groveland, on the last long leg from the Bay Area to Yosemite Valley. But on our way through this past April, we were lucky enough to spot Dori's on the left toward the end of the main part of town. A small tea room and gift shop, Dori's proprieters (a retired couple who had left behind the rat race to try something different) were eager to please. They offered an impressive array of teas and a choice of tea menus, all of which was delicious (the scones were particularly good) and reasonably priced. My husband -- not ordinarily the "tea type" -- agreed. We ordered a tea that included a variety of finger sandwiches, scones with devonshire cream, and a selection of desserts. A nice place to stop for something a little different.
