We've eaten here twice since the new owners took over. It is chef-owned and operated, and at first, the owners seemed to be having some growing pains with the new establishment. On both visits, it seemed to take a bit longer than it should have to be seated, even though we had reservations. But the staff was very friendly and acknowledged our presence, letting us know that we would be seated shortly. On the other hand, once we were seated, we were able to enjoy a relaxed meal and we felt invited to stay and enjoy everything from the first sip of wine to the last bite of dessert. The owners are very visible and engaged. Our waiter was prompt, courteous and knowledgable. We enjoyed his dry sense of humor, which added to the festivity of the evening for our guests and us. The restaurant is in an old house. It is a romantic setting. The atmosphere is intimate, warm and welcoming and the dining area is quiet enough to allow for conversation at one's table. The food is Milanese, different from the standard fare at many Italian restaurants. The waiter helped us navigate the menu and find dishes suited to our particular tastes.
