The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly—both probably helped by the fact that the property is new—but I was most pleased by ways that the Courtyard brand seems to be trying to make life easier and pleasant for guests. The shower was a wide stall (with a door, not a curtain); the door keys worked by waving them in front of the lock (instead of inserting or swiping); the lobby had double-high ceilings; the computers in the lobby were free to use (including to print); there was even a putting green in the courtyard area. I could do without the TV always being on in the lobby, but I'm not really a TV person. Other than that, I had no complaints. (I will say that the five-circle rating is relative to hotels of this level.) I also liked that the hotel was a couple blocks from Hwy. 101 (and not right on it), and you could walk to the big shopping center, home to various restaurants—many not that notable, but still, within walking distance.
