“Really great spot!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 26, 2013 via mobile

We did a 2 week road trip in California in Aug 2013. Pacifica Suites was far from our most expensive accommodation, but it was by far the best place we stayed. All in our party loved the freshly made to order breakfast that was included. The omlettes were delicious. We also took advantage of the free wine tasting 2 nights in a row and enjoyed the pool after hot days exploring Santa Barbara. Rooms were clean and spacious. All staff were friendly and very accommodating.

That was my only issue with this hotel - even our log cabin in Yosemite had a roomsafe - we had to use safety deposit boxes at the front desk (FOC) but they are only big enough for passports & money - nowhere secure to leave DSLR's iPads etc when out of the hotel.

Other than that this is a very very nice hotel, very comfortable rooms, free parking, nice pool area, good gardens and good (free) breakfast.

Very efficient friendly & helpful staff including a hardworking receptionist who seems to live behind the reception desk...there at lunchtime, there when I went to bed, and there when I got up early in the morning.

It's not in Santa Barbara itself more on the outskirts, but maybe I should have checked on a map first.

Would I return? absolutely, would I recommend it to others? Yes.

Room Tip: ground floor poolside suites are very nice

Pleny of free parking, large, quiet rooms, comfortable mattresses, great happy hour, attentive peronnel and a large well-prepaed breakfast. These folks don't sklimp.

When I realized that I had forgotten my toothbrucsh, the lady at the desk GAVE me a free one. Said it happens all the time.

Room Tip: Check out a room plan on the internet. Choose a room on the right-hand side near the front, away fr...

We happily returned to Pacifica Suites because we had such a pleasant time there in September 2011. This time round the experience was just as good, if not better. This clean, well-maintained, quiet and comfortable motel provided exactly what we needed: a large space with two beds for three adults and three small dogs. For us, the place is perfectly situated. The nearby freeway, which we found barely audible, gives easy access to the 101. The stores in Goleta are less than half a mile away, and on the other side of the 101 (on Calle Real) there are plenty of markets etc. And one can ride on Hollister to downtown Santa Barbara and the best beaches without any difficulty. The housekeepers did a terrific job tidying up after us. One more thing: in 2011 the popular (rather greasy) breakfast was not really for us. But this time round we discovered that the options had changed. The breakfast burrito, in particular, was terrific.

Room Tip: This time we had a room facing away from the pool. This was good for the dogs, who weren't distr...

The hotel was perfect for what we were looking for - an easy spot to spend the night between long days of driving. The suite had a nice loving room area separate from the bedroom, which was nice, and they had philosophy toiletries which I loved. Breakfast was included and the staff was very friendly. The food and options were fine but there wasn't a ton of variety for someone looking for a healthier breakfast (though they did make my omelet with egg whites). It wasn't super close to downtown Santa Barbara (about a ten minute drive) but was very close to goleta beach and UCSB campus.

it seems all the rooms are suites with plenty of room and two TVs. The pool is large enough for kids to have fum in without bumping into each other. It is near Highway 101 but very quiet. Santa Barbara is obout a ten minute drive from the hotel. There are two beaches just a few minutes away (one on the UCSB Campus). Would definately stay here again.

Room Tip: request a second floor room or one that faces into the central grounds if you plan onn using your pa...
