I thought it was fine. The room was nicely updated in what is a traditional motel-style property, the bed is comfortable and TV and Internet worked as expected. Parking can be tight for all but compact vehicles. The location is great. It's very near The Americana at Brand, a walkable mall with plenty of good restaurants and shopping. That came in handy for breakfast, since the Vagabond's free breakfast is very basic, lacking tables. The coffee was pretty good and the pastries were fine. Fresh oranges and apples were a nice touch. I'd say it's more of a guy's quick-stay kind of property where all you really need is a place to sleep. And the price is reasonable.
