The hotel was better than I expected, any problems I had were address by the staff right away. The bartender knew what he doing, service with a smile. The breakfast good have been better; didn't have dinner at the hotel but should have, the places nearby were horrible.

This was a make-good stay because of a prior bad stay where the furniture was very dirty and the shower did not work at all. So on my return trip, and after speaking to the kind and responsive manager, I was happy to get some consideration fees waived (like parking which is $15 per nite and WI-fI not free) but then cigarette smoke started wafting into my non-smoking suite through the bathroom vents. There is no exhaust vent in the bathroom to get rid of it, so I have no idea how it was coming in from the non-working vent inside the shower stall. But I had to remove my steamed clothing from hanging in the bathroom.or it would have reeked. I am allergic to smoke, and had to keep the bathroom door closed (which didn't really work keeping out the smoke), and was disappointed once again. Though the room was spacious and comfortable, it stank after the mystery smoker arose for the day about 7 am. At over $400 for two-nights' stay, this was again a big disappointment.
The hot breakfast which came with the room was very good. "Manager's reception" in the evening was terrible: celery stix, carrot sticks and tortilla chips? Not even fresh coffee. Come on you guys.

Room Tip: South side rooms are the NEWEST rooms and have the glassed-in showers.

This was our first visit to LA and we didn't have a clue where to stay. I was looking for something in a safe area, clean and not too overly priced. I found exactly that in this hotel. When we first got there, we had a room on the 2nd floor. Very nice room (huge), but the view was of the roof air conditioners. The next day, I asked a nice young man named Alex if there were any more rooms available that had a better view. He very promptly found us a corner room on the 5th floor that had a wonderful view and was ever bigger than the first, for no extra charge. (Way to go, Alex! This young man deserves a raise!) The staff couldn't have been nicer. Anything we asked for, they went out of their way to get for us. If ever in LA again, this is where I will be.

Room Tip: Corner suites are large and have wonderful views of the mountains.

It took us four years to find a clean, safe, well-priced place to stay while visiting my son at Oxy. But Embassy Suites is so much more than that. The hotel is beautiful, the staff pleasant with a daily happy hour & free breakfast included. They even offer a discounted rate with reduced parking & internet rates for college visitors (wi-fi free in lobby). Plus, the property is easy to find and a straight shot to the school in Eagle Rock. When traveling to LA, this is now my spot!

This appears to be a bit of a newer hotel, and was really nicely done. Room was as expected and requested, managers reception was perfect, and breakfast excellent as well. We did enjoy the pool and hot tub at this hotel as well.

We saved a few bucks by using street parking--no problems in this area. Also, I don't understand why a hotel still charges for wifi in the rooms, but they were kind enough to give us a code for wifi access in public areas--nice of them to do since they did not have to.

All in all another excellent stay at Embassy.

They refused to help us with our luggage despite no other guests checking in - the lobby was totally empty and staff was just standing around yet they turned down our request for help. We have injuries that make it difficult to transfer luggage from car tot he 12th floor, but still they would not help. Also, if you plan on ordering a meal at the restaurant, don't. We were not prepared to witness rude behavior of staff towards each other, and on top of that a hot-tempered host yells at guests using aggressive hand gestures and an angry voice despite the presence of young children.....strange situation for sure. If you can avoid dining there, and don't mind being your own bellhop, then you will probably enjoy your stay as the room was very clean and quiet.

Stayed at the Glendale Embassy Suites for 5 days. Loved the lobby. Friendly staff. Nice clean room. Four adults in one room. Second day we returned to the room. Out of toilet paper. Housekeeping provided some. Day 3 had to go to the front desk for more toilet paper. Went to the fitness center to work out. No toilet paper in the mens room in the workout center. Is there a TP shortage in CA?
