“Fascinating!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 14, 2012

In spite of the $10 per car cost to get into the park this was worth it. The docent tour of "Beauty Ranch" was fascinating. There was so much history and information provided and the area is nothing short of beautiful. The $4 fee to tour the cottage is grossly over priced, but the cottage is historic and provides a view into life during Jack London's time. The remains of the Wolf House that burned just before he was to move in is pretty impressive. There is more left than I would have thought. We were told about several hiking trails and areas and would like to return to check them out.

“Beautiful in the Fall!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 26, 2012

Went in October and the vineyards are glowing. And, enjoyed the history lesson about Jack London and his farming adventures. I did not know he resided in Glen Ellen!

“If you don't know Jack...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 18, 2012

...well then this is the place to find out about the man! What a wonderful historic place. You can truly feel the spirit of the man & his much loved wife, Charmian, friends, and his animals here. Museum is quite informative with a lot of great books for sale.

“Beautiful but is slated to close like so many of our other beautiful state parks...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 15, 2012

Come see where Jack London lived and wrote some of his famous stories. See the beautiful home he built, The Home of Happy Walls, after his first home burned down. Located in the beautiful Valley of the Moon just off Highway 12. Check ahead of time to see if the park is open.
