“time stands still”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 2, 2013

Located in the Alexander Valley, the hotel is surrounded my Grape vines. So pleasant, peaceful, and relaxing. The people who manage the place always take such good care of me and of all my requests. There is also a swimming pool and hot tub. And a very nice restaurant(Hoffman House) conveniently next door for breakfast.

Room Tip: Rooms on the east side might be a little quieter.

We stayed there on a trip through northern California and visited the wineries in the Geyserville area and the Anderson Valley. The inn is pretty updated with fresh colors and comfortable beds. The front desk was very helpful in recommending wineries and the Diavola Resturant in town. We had breakfast next door at the Hoffman House and it was a wonderful, relaxed and the large meal. Highly recommend the Geyserville Inn and the town as well. If you are burned out on Napa, go to Geyserville and see what Napa was like 30 years ago!

Room Tip: No elevator so if that is a problem request a room on the first floor.

We stayed with the Travelzoo voucher and were very happy with our experience. Room was well appointed, had new flat screen TV, and was clean except for the bathroom counter. They are granite and looking at them at an angle could see they did not seem to be wiped down as often as they should be. Otherwise thought it was a great visit, but might not be worth the near $200 I expect the room rents for in high season. Oh and the bed was very comfortable.

Make sure you go to the Locals wine room in town...great experience and nice way to try multiple vineyards side by side.

The Geyserville Inn was easily located along the main drag in Geyserville. It is walking distance to downtown where you will find a couple good resturants and wine tasting. It looked like a nice walk if you have a sunny day for it. The room was clean, and the staff was friendly. We purchased a travelzoo voucher which included breakfast next door at the Hoffman House. I was pleased with the whole experience.

The hotel is a bit far from the "strip" of downtown Geyserville to be able to walk there quickly. However, it's only a couple of minutes in a car, so you can't really complain much. Facility itself is nice, clean, updated. Rooms are very clean, updated, etc. Try to get a room at the rear as the front faces the street.

What really made the visit memorable was the service and attitude of the front desk concierge Gil. His positive attitude, dedication to guest satisfaction, and knowledge about the area were just great. Score one point for old fashioned customer service...a dying art!

I met up with a couple of friends in the Bay Area and we scooted up to Geyserville. We all had separate rooms at the inn. Two of us were on Travelzoo vouchers and got lots of perks, like vouchers toward breakfast in the restaurant next door and chits for free wine tastings in the area. The staff was friendly and accommodating. I needed a late check-out and it was granted. The two house cats were timid, but were an added feature. It felt like home. The only drawback for me was the noise from the freeway.

The quiet little town of Geyserville unexpectedly had two fantastic restaurants, which I'd recommend in a heartbeat: Catelli's and Diavolo Pizzeria.

Room Tip: Try asking for a room on the second floor toward the back. They might be quieter.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 20, 2012

We purchased the Travelzoo package over the summer and finally made it to Geyserville. Geyserville Inn is just outside of main part of town and is convenient to get everywhere. It was clean. We stayed in Room 221 which was at the back of the property on the second floor. It was a king deluxe room with a fireplace and balcony overlooking their event lawn and surrounding vineyards. Since it was at the back of the property, it was very quiet and we didn't hear much of the road noise that you might have if you were at the front of the property. The views were gorgeous. The property was clean and nice and a good price for the deal we got. For the price we paid, I would give it 4 stars.

The thing that gave it a 5 star review was the service we received from Gil, the hotel manager. He was very accommodating and printed out the travelzoo voucher for us since I had forgotten to before we left. He made recommendations for wineries to visit and provided us with wine tasting passes to some of the wineries. We had lunch and breakfast at the neighboring Hoffman House which was included in the voucher. There was a little mix up and he went out of his way to take care of us.

Geyserville Inn was a great home base from which to explore the Alexander Valley wine region. We came to eat at Diavola and were not disappointed with our food and service their either. Great getaway!

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the back for a quiet room. Room 221 had fireplace, balcony, and great views.
