My wife and I spent (2) nights at the Hilton Garden Inn Garden Grove while visiting the Disneyland Resort. For comfort, cost, and convenience, this hotel was perfect. Before tax, we paid $71 for our first night and $91 for our second using an AAA discount. Our room featured all standard amenities (i.e. TV, bed, iron, hairdryer) as well as some items I'd consider premium (i.e. temperature controlled A/C with on-wall thermostat; free high speed Internet). The hotel also provided all guests with a copy of the LA Times and USA Today on their doorstep each morning.

When I arrived, the hotel was quick to reward my Hilton Honors Diamond status, complying with all of my room location preferences as well as having my freebies (i.e. bottled water, breakfast coupons, etc.) ready. My wife and I took advantage of the continental breakfast in the Great American Grill both mornings we were at the hotel. The service was great as by day #2, the waitress had already memorized our coffee preferences.

For those going to Disneyland, the hotel is about 1 mile south of Katella Avenue, which is the southernmost boundary of Disneyland. The hotel is served by the Anaheim Resort transit system ($3/person/day), which drops off in the plaza at the front of California Adventure and Magic Kingdom. Other alternatives include walking (approx. 20 minutes on Harbor) or parking at Disney ($10/day). Parking at Downtown Disney (entrance is off Katella, a quarter mile west of Harbor) is free for the first 3 hours.

On our last night, we drove over the Anaheim Angels baseball stadium for their game against the Rangers. The hotel is no more than 2 miles from the park, a quick left on Harbor and a right on Orangewood takes you directly to the front of the park.

The hotel is part of a 3 building Hilton complex, featuring the Hilton Garden Inn, Embassy Suites, and Hampton Inn. Overall, this is great place to stay and my wife and I wouldn't consider staying anywhere else upon our return to Disneyland.

We stayed here from May 22, 2005 to May 28, 2005. This is one of the cleanest places we have ever stayed and talk about friendly staff. They would do anything to make our stay enjoyable! The rooms are nicely decorated although - in a couple of years the furnishings will need some replacing. The on-site laundry was very handy although the whole time we were there only one machine was working and we told the staff about the broken one but it did not get fixed. The fridge and microwave came in very handy! The cookies in the evening were a nice touch! We would definitely stay here again - we wouldn't even look around at other places. The shuttle bus to Disneyland was very handy and came every 20 minutes and was better than parking our car in the lot. the cost was very reasonable - $3/day unlimited rides per person.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel from May 11th to May 17th 2005 and had a great experience. The decor is a little old school but the hotel was very clean and the staff very friendly.
I was a little concerned on the parking situation since I had read so many negative things about it but it was a non issue, there was lots left when we came back late at night.
The rooms were very clean and it was very handy having a fridge and microwave in the room.
The computer room was an added bonus, so you could check emails for no charge.
The restaurant was great in the morning for the continental breakfast, we ate there every morning, lots of great things to choose from.
There are lots of hotels in this general vacinity and we felt very safe walking outside at night, lots of children out with their families.
It was an added bonus to have a target accross the street, and some restaurants like outback, red robin and joes crab shack.
All in all we enjoyed this hotel and would reccomend it.

Thanks to the folks who wrote previous reviews on the Hilton Garden Inn, my girlfriend and I booked a 4 night stay at this hotel in late April. Having heard horror stories about hotels around Disneyland, I wanted to make sure that we stayed in a nice place and in a nice area. We could not have been more pleased.

The hotel sits in a group with an Embassy Suites and Hampton Inn in the same driveway/parking lot. Even though previous posters said parking was tight, we never had a problem finding parking at any time of the day or night. The shuttle to Disneyland runs every 20 minutes (I thought it was free, but ended up paying 3 bucks...still cheaper than actually parking at the park itself). That shuttle will stop at the next group of hotels down the street (the Hyatt/Crown Plaza combo), but we arrived at Disneyland within 10 minutes of leaving the Hilton.

The room was good sized and VERY clean. My only complaint was that the in room refrigerator didn't keep things very cold...the milk we bought for cereal turned sour on our last day. But, that's minor stuff. Microwave in the room came in handy. Check in was easy, check out was a breeze, and the staff took great care of us when we needed to print things in the business center (and even metered postage for a Mother's Day card!). Didn't eat in the restaurant because my girlfriend and I are IHOP addicts and there's one just down the street near Disney.

Great hotel. Judging by the popularity of the Embassy Suites and other hotels in this immediate area on TripAdvisor, this is the place and area to stay in if you are visiting the Anaheim area theme parks.
